We had a lovely room and we had no problems with the hotel although the room we had was probably one of the best ones in the hotel that we’ve used in the past but overall everything was great

The hotel has been transformed from something that was very poor to a clean, spacious hotel. Good courteous staff and good buffet breakfast. Would stay there again

The hotel is very nice and well appointed in the communal areas. The bar lounge was very nice. The room was clean but very dated. The room was cold as the radiator wasn’t working but we had a small plug in radiator to get some heat. The bathroom didn’t receive any heating and was quite cold with only a net curtain. No real blinds so with the light on anyone would be able to see right in. The room we had needs to be brought into 2026 but the bedding was clean and warm. Only 1 pillow each. Could have used an extra one each. I guess for the money it was just ok staff didn’t offer us a breakfast booking when we checked in, might have been nice. Over all it felt like a budget booking in a very nice hotel. I could sit in the relaxing bar area comfortably for some time. Some rooms need a little investment and t l c.

Polite staff, nice stay. Unfortunately I would have rather eaten out than at the hotel.

Room was quite tired looking. Although appeared clean at first, noticed dusty bathroom, shower head partially blocked, grubby headboard. Staff very polite.

My husband and I stayed at the Royal Bath Hotel, Bournemouth, on Saturday 24th January and experienced very poor service – we understand other guests raised similar concerns. We were in Room 573, which was cold (estimated 14-17°C) on arrival. I reported this to reception, who said heating operated on a timer and would start soon. After waiting two hours with no change, my husband returned to suggest bleeding the radiator. A manager attended and did so, but the radiator only became lukewarm and failed to heat the room before the timer switched off. We tried to run a hot bath, but the water was not warm enough, and the bathroom towel radiator was not working. This was unexpected as my husband stayed here two weeks prior without issue, and we understood the hotel holds a four-star rating. When we raised the issues again, the manager seemed reluctant to help. He agreed to switch heating on but said no thermometer was available, and gave no valid reason for the bathroom radiator not working. To our surprise, he said: “This is not the Hilton – in fact, this hotel doesn’t even have any star ratings, so you shouldn’t really complain.” He provided extra blankets and overrode the timer, but this came too late. He offered free leisure access, which we had already paid for, with no other compensation. We booked for a pleasant break, but this was completely ruined. We trust you will address our concerns appropriately. Regards, Wahid Faquir

The hotel was lovely. The room was in poor state and needs a good update to justify costs. Breakfast was sadly below a good standard and not value for money. Bed linen very clean and the bed was very comfy. Overall, 5 out of 10.

The heating was on full blast all day and night and u couldn't turn it off, reception told me it went off at 10pm came back on at 6am which never happened so too hot and stuffy to sleep. The beds were hard and the pillows were hard so very uncomfortable sleepless night. The fire alarm went off at 5am, when we left we weren't asked how r stay was and no apology for the alarm going off.
