Hotel centrally located next to Nottingham Castle and only a few minutes walk to the main shopping area. Good restaurants and bars close by. The hotel was undergoing refurbishment when I visited but the hotel was still clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Clean and tidy but in this heatwave it was unbearable to sleep in, a fan was included which blowed the hot air around maybe invest in air con or a dyson fan? no air con anywhere and no fridge to cool down something needs changing to adapt to this climate. Bottles of water were warm as a result of this .

The reception / bar/ cafe area were undergoing renovation. It was like a bomb site. This was not reflected in the room price which is disappointing!!!! Please do better. Work outside also started early in the morning which also added to the not good feeling.

Hotel undergoing extensive refurbishment. Was only notified of works 2 weeks before stay and works were not just the bar/restaurant area, woke to workers on second floor. Rubbish everywhere outside and inside lifts. Room key card failed every night, staff rudely told me it was my fault as I put the key in the same pocket as my phone.
