ノッティンガム城のすぐ近くです。 駅から歩いて約15分、バスを利用してもバス停から8分ほど歩きます。 但し、駅からはずっと上り坂なので重い荷物を持っていると苦労します。 徒歩10分ほどで町の中心部に行けます。 部屋はとても広くてバスタブもあり、快適な滞在が出来ました。 レセプションスタッフはフレンドリーで部屋の清掃と行き届いていました。 唯一の難点は、Wi-Fiが不安定だったことです。 いつも別のホテルを利用していましたが、次回からはこちらを利用しようと思います。

Just going through a refurbishment I think from Sheraton to a Marriott hotels or vice versa , so a good price currently to stay there, sink and bath water first ran yellow but cleared, couldn’t sit on the toilet with the bathroom door shut, design odd, but nice staff, good location.

Synd att vi kom mitt i en renovering men hotellet hade sagt flera gånger innan vi vår besök och löste de flesta problem med renoveringen på ett bra sätt. Väldigt nära centrum och slottet. Parkering var gratis men inte lätt att komma in med bilen. Om man har en större bil (vi hade en Nissan Qashqai) är det svårt både att komma entreporten och att röra sig i parkeringen.

So this has recently been acquired by Sheraton and still work to be done... Lifts need to be replaced as old and don't seem safe, noisy and rickety... Rooms ok, lighting is confusing as you don't have full control whilst in bed and TV brackets look like the could fall off wall. No hotel information in room, either paper or TV driven. Only real gripe was we had half a toilet roll in our room and it looked like the Andrew puppy had it and it was rolled back up...why not a full roll? Staff seemed pleasant enough .... Breakfast was Fantastic! Had to park in local NCP £16 for 24 hours...which we all know in the UK is never a pleasant experience walking through.

Handy city centre plenty to do

The hotel was going through some changes as they had stated well in advance. Staff were very helpful, rooms were as pleasant as they have been in the past with a new lick of paint in places around the hotel. The room was plenty big enough for our family of 4 and would stay again. NCP car park is just next door so easy to park and go straight in. Great location next to the castle too

Once we actually managed to locate the hotel everything was fine. Nice room and very quiet hotel with friendly staff. Problem was finding it! The only building we could find with St James on it was closed up. Eventually we realised from searching Google photos that the hotel was across the street with a new name on it! They were in the middle of rebranding to a Marriot hotel! Advance warning of this would have been useful both to us and the three other parties we assisted during our stay. Poor communication. Having said that I’d be happy to stay again as it was a reasonable price and in a good location.

No parking, the receptionist was not helpful Breakfast was basic

We stayed for a graduation & it was an ideal pick. Whilst they are having some refurbishments, this did not affect our stay. Modern, clean, great location and the staff were really helpful. Assisted with ordering some flowers for the graduation and they went above and beyond. Would definitely recommend.

Brilliant

Hotel is under going a refurbishment and our room (408) looked like it had been finished recently. Very well appointed, lovely bed and a good size room. The only downside is the hotels car park which is situated a short distance away but the biggest issue is the size of the car park and the access. Ideally you need a VERY small car to navigate in and out and indeed inside. For any future stays I would probably use the NCP car park next door !

Under summer construction, but lobby will be great when refurbished

At this level, Air Conditioning should be provided, especially after our renovation. We knew there was not air-conditioning and the fan helped on very warm night. This was a newly renovated room and several items were omitted or not completed. First of all the shower was designed that would be difficult for most people to get in and out of. There was no soap dish although I was told they are on order. There was a very nice vanity bench, but no mirror over the vanity and my wife had a very difficult time with the hairdryer. Renew the lobby and the café were under renovation. There was supposed to be a credit to my account and they processed my credit card but after six days, I have not seen anything to cover the adjustment for the breakfast that we did not have.

It was being rebuilt. So no food or drink. Will probably be better once finished.

The hotel is undergoing MAJOR refurbishment - the foyer and bar areas are like a bomb site. At no point during booking was this forewarned. I have emailed the hotel for a partial refund.

Excellent hotel. The room was very warm in the unusually hot temperatures. The staff were all nice and made provisions to keep the room as cool as possible. The hotel is in an excellent location. I would happily stay there again

Great location in the city centre

Lovely hotel in city centre,rooms cleaned every day,and bottles of water refilled.

Hotel is currently undergoing renovation, so no dining options available onsite (which wasn't disclosed on third party website when we booked rooms) and reception area is a mess. The 'to go' takeaway breakfast option is a joke - not worth purchasing as can get better value in supermarket or cafe elsewhere. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. No parking onsite, which is a little inconvenient. However, location is central to castle, shops and many pub options. Once renovated, I think this place would be worth coming back to stay again
