Great location to get to our evening venue. Parking was a short walk away and very reasonably priced. Check in was easy and pleasant staff. We booked a big double room and was very impressed with everything. It wasn't noisy overnight. Breakfast was very comprehensive and great selection. Thank you for a great visit.

We had not realised that the room had bed on mezzanine. It would be a good idea to point out that it is probably not suitable for older guest or for young children

Just had a one night stay here and couldn’t really find fault other than a lack of biscuits with the tea and coffee caddy in the room! Rooms well appointed, service exceptional throughout and one of the best buffet breakfasts I’ve ever had for only £10. If and when we come back to Coventry, this will be our go to.

Very well situated, close to all the City’s main attractions and town centre - a 15 minute walk from the train. Love the historical touches of the Evening Telegraph. My room was a good size and bathroom electric shower was good. TV was a good size but not many channels. Breakfast was OK for the price - I had to request vegetarian sausages which came just after I’d finished the rest! - Both coffee machines were broken on Sunday and the non hot replenish not particularly good. Evening meal was tasty and reasonable value -maybe portions a bit sparse.I’d recommend Mother Hubbard’s fish and chips round the corner -really tast fish !

My 2nd time staying here. I usually just stay overnight to see my sister in law, who lives very close by. Love the style of the hotel. Very lovely bathroom. Close to the coach station, which we used getting in and out of Coventry to Heathrow Airport. Also very convenient to restaurant and a mall within a few steps. 20 minutes from Coventry station which is very walkable, and convenient to us getting to the Yorkshire.

Great vibe and decor - and a brilliant town centre location. The original features which have been retained give the hotel great character. We paid extra for a 'Big Double' room - and would definitely recommend this if you think you might want to spend the odd evening in your room. The extra 1.5-2m (est) across the whole length of the room meant there was space for a small table and two chairs, which were comfy enough to sit on and enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching TV. Breakfast disappointed slightly compared to other four star hotels we've stayed in due to: the lack of variety of breads (conventional sliced being the only wholemeal option available) and the lack of choice if you can't have strawberries (strawberries in the fruit compote every day and no honey available, so only a few seeds and dried fruit to go in natural yoghurt) and no jams other than strawberry available (marmalade, nutella or marmite being the only other options) - honey would have made a difference here too. No issues with cleanliness or noise (although we had specifically requested a room on the quieter side of the building). Other than that, a great stay and would happily recommend the Telegraph to anyone wanting to stay within easy walking distance of everything you need.
