Was an excellent experience staying at the Greyhound hotel, friendly staff at reception and perfect location. Felt very safe there too. The telly didn't work but the staff promptly swapped it for one that does so no worries on that one. Will definitely stay there again.

I arrived late evening, I was greeted by a polite and helpful staff member, the room was very clean with tea and coffee making facilities, the bed was rather firm but turned out to give a great nights sleep, some of the fixtures are a bit dated and past there best but for the price good value I would use here again.

this hotel is truly awful. It seems to have been taken over as a hotel for refugees and the smell of smoke was everywhere. We checked in at 4.30 pm and the first room smelled of smoke so badly that we rejected it. We were then given a room on the second floor (past a non functioning lift!) The room itself was only slightly smelly but the corridor stank of smoke. We tried to stay in the room but by 6.30pm we had had enough and we checked out and decided to drive home.

Unfriendly staff upon arrival. Aside from being heavily outdated the carpets were both crispy with age and sporting numerous sticky patches. The decor was also suffering the same fate as the carpet regarding its age. The bathtub looked like a murder scene had happened in the past with a very stained, grotesque tub. I wasn't aware beds could be sold that hard, the mattress was very reminiscent of a hard stone floor I had once passed out on drunkenly in my youth. Aside from the brutal room conditions it was sporting fresh towels, hot drinks and clean sheets (on the bed that I really cant stress enough how hard it was).

Avoid at all costs — awful stay I booked 3 nights, but the pictures do not reflect the reality at all — totally misleading. After travelling a long way, I arrived to what felt like a place of horror. Reception staff were rude. The corridors were loud and chaotic with people slamming doors all night, and the whole place gave off a seedy, multi-room vibe. There was a strong smell throughout, the bed stank of urine, and there were greasy handprints all over the walls. I couldn’t sleep because of the constant noise. I dreaded staying even a single night; I left before 6am, handed back my keys, and booked elsewhere. I feel robbed of my money and didn’t even bother requesting a refund because I couldn’t face the hassle. This was, without exaggeration, the most disgusting place I’ve ever stayed. Avoid at all costs.

There was poo in the toilet of first room I was given. There was a smell of cigarettes in the hallway. The lift wasn't working, the gym and pool were out of use. The poor staff must have a difficult time with it. The place needs more than just a refurb
