THE GROVE HOTEL

Stayed for one night but had a very friendly welcome. Room was clean and modern with only some outdated features. Bar is open all night and car park is clean and well maintained. It was quite warm in the room as radiators were on full blast but was very comfortable once turned down.

The Hotel was excellent. A short walk from the beach. The Italian chap on reception was outstanding. Probably one of the bext welcomes that I have ever had in any hotel that I have ever stayed in. The room was well kitted out and comfortable. Large and clear TV.

This is middle of the road hotel in Bournemouth which harks back to a bygone era & the staff are fantastic. I enjoyed my stay, nice clean rooms & very close to the seafront & the town centre.

The check in was smooth and the concierge was friendly and very helpful. The hotel decor is clean and fresh, it looks as though it has been recently decorated. The walls of the rooms are very thin with no soundproofing, which meant we could hear a lot of noise from neighbouring rooms. There was a sizeable gap under the bedroom door, which meant light from the corridor streamed in all night. The curtains did not fit the window properly, which prevented full black out, I could imagine this being more of a problem in summer but if you like complete darkness to sleep in this wouldn’t be a room for you. In the morning we discovered that we only had towels for one person, at the point we discovered this we couldn’t go down to reception to get more so shared. We hunted high and low for a hairdryer to discover you have to get one from reception as they’re held there for safe keeping. The room also looked as though it was recently renovated, however the furniture looks old and the veneer is peeling and lifting off the edges of the bedside tables and dressing table leaving sharp edges to catch yourself on. The pillows were like bricks, really not very comfortable at all. I appreciate it’s a budget hotel, but lots of little things contributed to a disappointing stay.

For what I paid, very happy with the stay. Great friendly service, decent full English breakfast. Location was good and there was car parking. Room was large but a bit worn out, but comfortable.

Staff super friendly. Rooms clean. 24-hour bar, if required - so often not the case any more. Excellent value.

Room was exceptionally clean, staff polite, friendly and welcoming. Parking was £10 but no issues. Didn't have breakfast as had to leave before it started.

It is quite near to town but the room is not very clean
