Very competitive price for a comfortable room. Accommodation( total of 4 rooms) was adjacent to and accessed via the village pub , but we did not hear a thing ! Nice outdoor space for relaxing or dining/ drinking. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay here again. Only considerations are staircase up to accommodation and breakfast is not served in the pub.

Some of the friendliest and kindest staff I've ever had, with a simple and easy check-in/check-out process. Also very delicious food at the pub downstairs as well. My bed was very comfortable as well, and the room was very clean. Overall, I'd gladly come back to stay if I ever visit again.

Asked for a heater as the one in the room wasn't working and was told that one would be provided but it wasn't. Hiding the exterior access door to the rooms behind a scabby old fence without any sign saying access to the rooms was not a great idea and nor was having an unusual door opening mechanism that implied it was faulty and that you were locked out. Otherwise it was pretty good.

Pub was ok and we ate and the food was good. BUT we were shown to our freezing cold room and told we have live music tonight you might want to join us. We did for 30 mins after our dinner but after a 3 hour drive we wanted to get some sleep. The music shook the room until 11.30, then the staff were loud and noisy in the corridors as the staff office is next door to many rooms. The heating went off at around 10.30 and it was very cold. Overall a decent meal but one of the worst nights I have had in a hotel. Avoid weekend nights in case of loud music.

Room was ok, attention needed to wardrobe (door needed fixing). Other workmen staying there were banging around outside and making noise / shouting/very loud until after midnight on 3 occasions with no regard to others staying there. In the morning lights worked but no electric for some reason for kettle / tv / lamps etc but thankfully shower was hot regardless and with decent towels. We didn't expect much at the price but wanted at least a decent sleep which we didn't get as they woke us again just before 7am doing the same. A shame it didnt work out as was looking for accommodation to use in the area occasionally. We won't be returning.

Whilst the overall pub/restaurant was very attractive and popular, the bedroom we had (room1) was very small, with very little space or furniture on which to place our clothes etc. The en-suite shower room was particularly inadequate as there were no shelves or surfaces on which to place toothbrushes or toiletries (no toiletries were provided other than some hand wash. Furthermore, the basin waste was partially blocked as it took ages to empty the washbasin. However, the staff were friendly and welcoming and the price of the room was very reasonable; other bedrooms may be much better but I would not recommend a stay in room 1
