We book this hotel as a break from driving on the M6. The staff are helpful and friendly, the hotel is very clean, the evening meals are exemplary and reasonably priced. The house and grounds are beautiful. A one night stay can feel like a holiday.

This is a lovely, authentic and peaceful hotel set in rural countryside. It has a beautifully decorated lounge with lots of wood panelling and leather sofas. The staff are friendly and the restaurant good.

Easy parking outside the hotel. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The breakfast is varied both buffet and menu. The whole hotel is very clean.

Very helpful staff and lovely clean room. The shower head was not the cleanest. You must disinfect a shower at least every quarter and log results (legislative). More often if required. Breakfast could have been more flexible with regards to choice and would have preferred not to have paid extra for certain foods. Overall a lovely stay however.

Clean room,but too hot otherwise comfortable. Breakfast was very good, staff very helpful, car park very good. Could not use the ground as weather not very good would like to go back sometime Would recommend

Check in friendly - definitely not allowed in room till 3pm. No fridge in room however bar happy to give us ice!!! Breakfast was good brilliant choice of hot food. Service was slow and not welcoming. Think preoccupied with the wedding party … was upset to get an email to pay bill when I had already paid on booking. Grounds beautiful. Would come back maybe in summer or when no wedding on

Great stopover in a beautiful Victorian garden. Couldn’t eat dinner as they were busy and breakfast options limited. Will stay again if we can though

Stay was fine but could have been better. Duvet cover had marks on, upholstery of chair in room was stained and saucer at breakfast stained. Nothing major but not what I expected. Service at breakfast was slow

Super 7 night stay in a lovely family feel run hotel. Stunning house hotel and location, good food, fantastic staff who went the extra mile, nothing was too much trouble. So relaxing and they have a lovely cat called Bella 😻 🐈‍⬛️

Beautiful grounds and history

Excellent experience. Ideally placed if you travel up and down the country and very comfortable. Dinner excellent, breakfast too. The sitting room is very relaxed, and there is a resident cat who doesn't bother you at all.

An excellent property in the beautiful countryside with gorgeous gardens obviously looked after by enthusiastic gardeners. 🌳🌹🪻🪷 The decor is fitting to this country mansion and the whole house is very clean, and my bedroom was exceptionally clean and well stocked with soap, shampoo etc. and my bed very comfortable giving me a good night’s sleep 💤 The food offers a wide range for everyone’s taste and the quality is far better than many city 5 star hotels I’ve stayed in! The staff are all professional, courteous, polite and helpful and I would like to compliment Jack (a young restaurant waiter), who made me feel very welcomed and was very helpful ensuring I received a good breakfast (as I have medical issues). This young man is an asset to this lovely hotel and as a retired Regional HR Manager I see lots of potential in him to rise up - so GM watch out!! 😅 Many thanks to everyone from housekeeping to GM for making my brief visit keen to return for longer. 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
