Best position, 2 min into town and 10min walk to castle. Clean and comfortable room that it totally soundproof. Friendly helpful staff even though language was limited they always tried to help me.

The location is very convenient and the room is clean. There is no elevator which is the only concern if you room is upstairs and you have heavy luggages.

Staff was friendly and provided excellent service.
Location is nearby the newer part of the city of Caracassonne within walking distance to some cafes and restaurants but be aware that many of them close early. it is about a 15 minutes walk to the remparts city.
There was an issue with my room reservation but the management made changes and refunded me promptly and provided us free breakfast.
Part of the hallway had a strong bad odor.
The bath had no curtain so taking a shower while standing was a challenge.
Carpet in the room was dirty.
Although the staff was very kind, friendly and accommodating I would probably look elsewhere to stay if I were to visit Carcassonne again because the amenities were just too outdated for my preferences.

When staff member called head office to ask what should be done about refund for bed bugs, only gave me one nights money back even though I booked 2 and had to find a different hotel the night of because their front desk closes at 10pm
So I had to pay for a night that I didn’t even use

The hotel was perfectly located close to the old walled town and was nice and clean with all the basic facilities you could need. The owner was nice and friendly but spoke no English which wasn't a problem for me as I speak enough French but might be a problem for some people although I didn't really need to ask any detailed questions.

Expectation was not high. We just wanted basic and easy to find from the station for just one night. Sadly the experience was poor due to the very poor attitude of the owner of this property. Our arrival at 9 pm was one hour prior to reception closing but no one their . Pressing the buzzer left for guests did not get a response. No phone connection. Other guests tried to help find some one.after 30 minutes some one appeared. Not great as per previous comments about an unattended reception we did feel let down and a bit stressed after a long day of travel. The owneee came and knocked on our room door at 1030pm not to apologise but to point the finger in an aggressive and angry saying we are on holiday and they are working so we must wait and not complain that the reception was not attended !!! ? Anyone understand this logic to a paying guest ? Well overall this place is NOT a hotel it is a backpacker hostel. So should not be listed on hotels.com

We waited outside of Hotel Central in the wind and rain for half an hour pressing the bell and phoning the hotel at the same time. There was no-on there and the place was in darkness. We then had to go in search for another hotel at 6.30 in the evening. I had paid in full for Hotel Central and as yet, I have not been reimbursed or had an apology from either the Hotel or Hotels.com. I have spoken to Rob at Hotels.com still no response from either!! This unfortunate incident occurred last Sunday, 21 January!

Very happy with price, service and comfort.
Had to share the toilet, but this was no problem, didn't wait once to use it.
Great location, at heart of the centre, but secluded from noise of bars.
No tea/coffee making facilities in the room is my only complaint!
Breakfast excluded from price of room, but good quality happy to pay for it - great start to the day!

My room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with thoughtful inclusions such as a hairdryer, desk and chair, and bathroom toiletries. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and carried my luggage to my food for me. They provided a breakfast for those who wanted it. The location was central, an easy walk from the train station and to the town centre, the tourist office and the canal du midi.

Lovely stay, rooms were nice and clean. Our hosts were nice, limited English but thats fine. 5mins walk to city centre and a solid 20mins to the castle. Area was safe. Just maybe one little issue, aircon was not working well the night we stayed but overall still a nice place to stay for the night.
