Hotel Lucien & Marinette

Very disappointing service. When we arrived at the hotel, we understood that early check-in was not possible and politely asked to store our luggage. The receptionist simply pointed to his left and said “2nd floor”. We took the lift to the 2nd floor but could not find the luggage room. When we came back down, the receptionist knew we were confused but remained silent and did not offer any help. Eventually, we found the luggage room by ourselves. It was actually right next to the reception. Throughout this, the staff showed a very sour expression and was not helpful at all. In addition, the room was very small. Overall, poor service and an unpleasant first impression. We will not come back again.

We had a smaller room on the 4th level but it was a very clean room and bathroom (good size). Possibility to make coffee or tea at the room. However a coat rack on the wall would be very useful, because there is not many place in the small wardrobe. Good breakfast in a nice sitting room. Kind staff. Good location 8 minutes walk from gare du nord.

Had a great stray

Very cute boutique hotel in the Saint Denis area of Paris, so close to Gare de Est station and many restaurants and stores nearby.

We loved the breakfasts. There was everything we like….especially fresh bakery..French baguettes and croissants…😍 A small but very stylish restaurant. A great atmosphere and delicious food at an affordable price. I highly recommend it.

The room was clean and well organised. The staff were super nice and the area where the hotel is located is so quiet.

We arrived early and room wasnt ready so we left and came back at check in time and we still had to wait a hour for room to be cleaned

Great value for money. Close to train station but really quiet. Would have liked the bottles of water to be replenished each day, and the toiletries replenished also. First day breakfast was great, 2nd day disappointing as all tables had dirty dishes, had to ask to clean and for fresh plates and cutlery also not a lot of food as it was not replaced once finished. Needed 2 people to be working. Overall a value for money hotel

Super staff! Nice room and very quiet. A nice place to be.

The staff were very helpful. The room was clean and modern. I appreciated the kettle, coffee, tea and the bottles of water. The location close to the stations was very convenient and I enjoyed being across from the market and next door to Chez Marius.

I cannot say enough positive thing about my stay! The place was clean and tidy. Rooms were a little small, but we knew that going in and needed a place to sleep and shower as we had a busy schedule - this was the perfect place! We were close to a main train hub which was wonderful for getting around fast. Closer you walk to the train the more homeless and beggars you will encounter but the hotel area was safe. Make sure to discuss the AC with the front desk as we had to request they check if it was on - once they double checked it was working perfectly. We had a wonderful stay and thanks to staff!

Location was excellent for train, metro & bus. Breakfast was very good, nice variety of items. Bathroom was modern with space for toiletries & shower had very good water pressure, but no hooks or towel racks anywhere in room or bathroom. No tissues or washcloths were provided, so bring your own. No chair in room, just a hassock. No place to put clothes away, so had to live out of suitcases for 5-night stay. There was a small area to hang clothes. No table or convenient shelving or drawers. 2 very small bedside tables Luckily, we had booked a triple room, so had a fold out bed that we used for our 2 large suitcases as they had no luggage racks, otherwise bags would have been on the floor. TV kept freezing up & disconnecting the first day-which we immediately reported & staff called the cable company. It was better the next day. First night, fire alarm went off twice, around 3am, a false alarm, but not a pleasant way to start out our stay. Staff said they would contact the alarm company about this; it did not happen again. Staff was helpful, especially breakfast staff. Some front desk staff spoke English.

Nice staff especially the lady working in breakfast lounge. She is very friendly, polite, working hard, considerate and cheerful. Some free cakes and pastries served which is very nice. But the sofa bed is horrible, not stable enough. When I sit on it, I nearly fall down. Moreover, It made lots of noise when turning body. The most important is we experienced twice false alert at 4:00am. Everyone woke up and go down to the reception. It is very horrible. I knew that it is not the first time. I think the owner needs to do something on it. The owner should refund part of the room fee for compensation.

Need room renovation

No proper positioning of elevators in the building literally had to carry my huge luggage down the stairs.
