Staff are extremely helpful and speak Engish well. Hotel location is supurb and a few minutes from town centre. Views over the square and to the mountains beyond are amazing. Nice warm atmosphere at the hotel and as a lady travelling alone I always felt safe. On the minus side. Room was a little on the warm side and window opening caused loud noise and also then let in street noise. No fridge or tea and coffee making facilites in the room. Although staff kindly allowed the use of the machines downstairs.

Hotel was clean and staff were efficient. Parking is a problem since it is in a public parking lot in the downtown. Room was large and comfortable. Air conditioning was a big plus since we visited in a heatwave.

The hotel is very central right on Place Victor Hugo close to shops and restaurants. Nice relaxing property . Staff is very helpful and will guide to a parking close-by at walking distance.

The service was good. The breakfasts were great, although understaffed at times. If you like sleeping in a really soft bed, you’d like the bed, but maybe not the sheet of plastic they use to protect their mattress. You only have one little sheet of cotton between you and it. It captures one’s body heat and increases the amount you sweat during the night. We ended up sleeping on top of all the covers. Their AC was functional but did nothing about the humidity in the air, so it didn’t feel very cool. The toilet seat always felt like it was about to come off. Good water pressure though, and the water was cool and clean. The location was well situated for old town and their windows keep out most of the night noise. Overall pretty good, but the bed and AC situation could be improved.

The old building is full of character and all the staff were very helpful. The square in the front of the hotel is a nice hangout for peoplewatching. The hotel backs on to the old town which is full of restaurants, cafes and places to shop

The location at Place Victor Hugo is great and the view out over the square, with the mountains in the distance is spectacular. Short walk to the river, a number of museums and the Bastille. The hotel felt fancy and homey at the same time, and staff were friendly and helpful. Creaky floors in places, but didn't interfere with sleeping or otherwise impact my experience.
