Good Hotel and location

Rooms were clean and comfortable with daily housekeping. Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Great location next to Galeries Lafayette and walking distant to public transport links and tourist attractions Would highly recommend!

The value for money, location, cleanliness, and the staff’s service were all excellent and beyond complaint. The only issue, if I had to mention one, was that the elevator was quite small.

They charged me for an additional night because the reservation was registered twice. That is the first time in my life that I see something like that. I showed up and stayed the nights that I reserved and still they charged me for one night “for the other room” that I never showed up for. The reservation was always for one room and they still charged me for an additional night. This is the worst customer service that I had experience in my life. I liked the location of the hotel and that is why we stayed there. Obviously we won’t be staying there ever again.

Great location but the room was a little tired and I struggled to get hot water in the morning for a shower. I was also charged city tax for two people even though I was clearly alone because the room was a double which is not right

Hôtel Excelsior Opéra has an unbeatable location—everything is walkable and super convenient. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained throughout my stay. Breakfast was varied, fresh, and efficiently served. I’d absolutely stay here again for the comfort and service alone.

Hotel Excelsior Opera – 3/5 Stars Location: Excellent location — just half a block from Galeries Lafayette and only a few steps from the metro station. Perfect for sightseeing, shopping, and exploring central Paris on foot. Metro Access: Couldn’t be more convenient. The nearby station makes it easy to reach major attractions like the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, and Montmartre without long transfers. Staff / Service: Front desk staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Check-in was smooth, and they provided great local recommendations. Room: Unfortunately, the room itself didn’t live up to the location. While it was spacious for a family of three, the condition was quite poor. The bed was old and lumpy, the sheets had a faint mildew smell, and the carpet was visibly dirty. The floor creaked with every step, and the overall décor felt very dated — more like a basic 3-star at best. Comfort: The highlight was the small balcony, which offered a charming Parisian view and some fresh air. Otherwise, comfort was limited due to the worn furnishings and musty atmosphere. Overall: Fantastic location and friendly staff, but the rooms are in need of serious updates. Would stay again only if renovated — location alone can’t make up for the lack of comfort.

Fantastic! Great location being a 2 minute walk to Metro and Galleries Lafayette. Wonderful staff, friendly and polite to guests. Comfy, clean and well appointed rooms with great facilities. Great choice for a relaxed breakfast. Overall I give this hotel a massive 5 🌟 and a huge 👍 Thank you and hope to see you soon.

Great Location and Cozy Stay in the Heart of Paris ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! The location couldn’t be better — right next to Galeries Lafayette, surrounded by great restaurants, and with easy access to public transportation. It made getting around Paris incredibly convenient. The breakfast was simple but delicious, with everything fresh and nicely presented. My room was small, as expected in Paris, but very well organized and comfortable. The bed was great, and I slept wonderfully. The only minor downside was the shower, which is quite small and could be a bit tight for taller or larger guests. Still, overall, this hotel offers great value, comfort, and an unbeatable location. I’d definitely stay here again!

Staff was excellent, professional and courteous. There was some noise from the Metro.
