Clean room. Free water in the reception. Hotel in the middle of the city. Nice staff. We didn't eat breakfast att the hotel, plenty of Cafés and bakerys nearby

This is a good hotel, conveniently located in the middle of Rouen, right next to the Cathedral. Room was lovely, and very well air-conditioned. Staff were very helpful, advising us on places to visit and eat. Breakfast in the morning was very good. One reason we chose this hotel was for the on-site parking. Two things to say about this. Firstly, the directions to find the car park are excellent. Follow each step literally, and it takes you right to the entrance. Secondly, it is very tight! There are two options when you go down the ramp - small cars or bigger cars. We have a small car, so went that way, and we could fit, but barely! You need to be confident in your ability to manoeuvre a car in a tight space. It was actually harder getting out of the parking space than getting in! The area for bigger cars is probably easier, but we didn't see that one. So do think carefully about the size of your car before using the car park!

Suite with a view of the cathedral was a really good size, large comfortable bed, really nice to have drinks in the fridge included as part of the room.

Loved the room with roof access and view to both Abbey church and Cathedral. The breakfast was absolutely amazing.

Nice quiet room. Wonderful location in city centre. Staff did not seem to know the area very well, but they were very nice. The room was well-sized and bright, but the AC was weak…it could not cool the room and the windows were locked so they could not be opened. Nice big TV with one English language channel (BBC News). I would stay again.

Very small rooms. Get two if you’re a family with children older than babies/toddlers. In-room air conditioning pretty useless, so the room was hot. The breakfast is excellent and staff very friendly. Great location too.

Couldn’t fault it. Very very central, parking, nice size room, fresh and clean, friendly reception staff, fresh filtered water at reception.

Amazing location next to the Cathedral

We had a terrible arrival given we reserved with Expedia and it turns out the hotel did not have our contact information. Consequently they did not share the precious information about parking, they naturally share when booking directly with the hotel. We were a party of 6 with two rooms booked and arrived with two cars following GoogleMap directions until we got stuck in a pedestrian street behind a retractable ground plot that required a code to open. We were stuck in traffic with cars honking behind us, we tried to call the hotel and reached an automatic answer with only choice to select if booking was made directly with the hotel or with a 3rd party- this last choice led to the response “if you booked with a 3rd party we cannot help you”. Eventually a local resident behind us let us in after loosing patience. We finally reached the hotel and the courteous lady at the front desk apologized for our experience and it seemed like a situation she was used to. The cherry on the cake was to find out that the local hotel parking was full and we were recommended a public parking. We punched the address on the GPS and drove to this parking to find a closed gate, and another Mercure customer in the same situation. Without mentioning that the route to get there took us through pedestrian roads that were very narrow to a point we had to fold our side mirrors to make it. This was a very stressful experience I didn’t need on my vacation and we ended up late at a dinner reservation.

I have stayed at this location twice, because I was so impressed I came back. The location is impeccable and it is a joy to be right near the cathedral. Staff are lovely and very helpful, and they also have a wonderful aselection of wines in the bar, should you wish to look at your excellent view and relax. I highly recommend the stay.

Really happy with my stay as a solo traveler. A few steps from the cathedral, which is fantastic. I'd stay there again any time.

Very good spot for visiting Rouen's tourist sites. Study the hotel's email well before attempting to find the hotel and parking. Arrive early if you wish to get a parking space. An excellent place to stay for central Rouen.
