ibis Châlons-en-Champagne

Hotel was fine for the price and to stay one night on my own but the rooms were so small I’m pleased I was alone. Dinner in the restaurant was better that expected although the choice (other than many kinds of pizza) was limited. Breakfast was fine but limited hot food. Very pleasant staff in the hotel.

This hotel advertises a restaurant with Chef but surprisingly Only snacks, Pizza, was available. Now having stayed at this hotel previously and experiencing the apologies that the Chef is not available due to unforseen circumstance I wonder is he really that unlucky or possibly that there is actually no Chef on tbe staff. The reception staff were very helpful and served Pizza and drinks whilst astoundingly other guests were better prepared as they turned with takeaways which seems to show that they knew there was no Chef. I will never stay there again.

arrival coincided with a coach party .some what chaotic.Did not seem prepared for the party. Needed extra people on duty. Saturday meal was a pizza, but ok . Breakfast next day ...food area stripped!!!had to ask for a baguette!!Also did not replenish fruit, sliced meat. Need to be up front if no meals available on Saturday or Sunday

Really nice and pleasant reception process, plus the receptionist made sure that we had dinner even when we arrived late, after restaurant closing. She also arranged late breakfast for us. Lovely human being. Room was basic but clean, and price reflected that. Good parking.

This is a budget Hotel on the outskirts of Challons and ideal for stop but not overly comfortable. The Breakfast was good but expensive @14 euro each. The rooms are tiny, no English channels on the TV, bathroom adequate, only one side table. The restaurant served a very small selection of food which was adequate but expensive @ Euro £16.95 or Euro !8 for a large Pizza. THey appeared to expect everyone to attend the Restaurant @ 19.30 and then wait whilst one server took orders, served drinks and delivered to table.The Service was good and all staff appeared very pleasant, 2 out of 3 spoke good english. Big issue was the lack of a lift.

This hotel is getting a bit old - the room doors rattled and the locks were tricky. No lift. But it is very convenient when going east or south through France being close to the motorway, and on a Monday night it was full. It is on a business park and quite hard to find so we slept well. Average burger chips evening meal.

Great staff, very helpful! Room refurbishment was commencing the day I checked out so hopefully the facilities will be much better when the work is completed.

They couldn't find my booking, even thought I had paid in advance, they made me pay for a room that i had already paid for on Hotels.com. The bar had run out of beer and red wine

Excellent for a budget hotel. Clean, adequate size rooms. Friendly helpful staff. Even served good Pizza on a Sunday night. Plus easy to find and easy car parking.

A great example of nice reasonable hotel with good food

Overnight stay en-route back to Eurotunnel after a 2 week trip. Arrived late after a long drive from Northern Italy. On arrival we were greeted by Aurelien, who did a great job to make us feel welcome, and helped us find a couple more pillows. Had a comfortable night's sleep in a well airconditioned room. Unfortunately no time for breakfast, else we would have as it looked good. Overall the hotel is a bit in need of updating, but for us it was a welcome oasis on the long road.

Located just outside the city in a calm business area. Suggested for a stop during a longer trip or you work in the area; Clean, comfortable bed and friendly staff. The room is ok for max 2 or 3 days stay. Parking ok Good breakfast!

Simple place to stay while passing through

Male receptionist on arrival not welcoming. Just said room that way! Room fine, location good for one night stay on travels. Challon has plenty of alternative food options if the hotel offerings do not inspire. Breakfast staff and morning receptionist were welcoming and efficient. Breakfast was a good experience with adequate buffet.

Really nice hotel, quiet position out of town. Only two floors but no lift. Breakfast good, staff great and aircon wonderful.

The hotel is situated in a great location on the outskirts of Châlons en Champagne. The room was clean, cosy and well designed with an en-suite shower room. The hotel is recently refurbished so feels modern and well looked after. It’s easy to access the main tourist sights from the hotel as well as lots of eateries, restaurants, bars in town and famous Champagne Houses. It’s a pet friendly hotel too which is fabulous when traveling with your doggy family members. A quiet location away from the busier town centre with quick access to the motorway. Breakfast is good with a typical continental themed buffet that has plenty to set you up for the day. Overall, a very good location for us to rest for the night and break up a long car journey.

The hotel is a few klm from A4 and easy to find . It was near the forest and across from an industrial park of mainly offices. Not ideal for anyone who finds stairs difficult as there were 8 steps up to the rooms. The staff were very friendly and offered to open the fire exit which led to the rooms with no stairs to go up but this was further from the parking. We didn’t have breakfast as wanted an early start . It was clean and new and just what was needed for an overnight stay

Restaurant staff was not the best. No busy but very slow and keep forgetting all the standard like just replace cutlery between one course and other. Drink asked several time, ask for small arrived big one after 2/3 time was asked. Not all staff of course but a couples were not really bother on the time I satyed there. Nothing major but it could be better come on.
