ibis Châlons-en-Champagne

Hotel was fine for the price and to stay one night on my own but the rooms were so small I’m pleased I was alone. Dinner in the restaurant was better that expected although the choice (other than many kinds of pizza) was limited. Breakfast was fine but limited hot food. Very pleasant staff in the hotel.

This hotel advertises a restaurant with Chef but surprisingly Only snacks, Pizza, was available. Now having stayed at this hotel previously and experiencing the apologies that the Chef is not available due to unforseen circumstance I wonder is he really that unlucky or possibly that there is actually no Chef on tbe staff. The reception staff were very helpful and served Pizza and drinks whilst astoundingly other guests were better prepared as they turned with takeaways which seems to show that they knew there was no Chef. I will never stay there again.

Nous avons passé 2 nuits correctes : la literie est bonne. Ménage un peu aléatoire et odeurs assez désagréables dans les communs. Quant aux petits-déjeuners, ils sont assez décevants : ils sont servis jusqu'à 10h, mais dès 9h, vous n'avez plus de pain ni de viennoiseries. Et les tasses présentent toutes des traces de café ou de thé : un coup d'éponge en plus du lave-vaisselle suffirait à les nettoyer correctement ! Beurre avec 2 jours de date ! Et les tables du petit-déjeuner ne sont pas nettoyées entre 2 passages.

arrival coincided with a coach party .some what chaotic.Did not seem prepared for the party. Needed extra people on duty. Saturday meal was a pizza, but ok . Breakfast next day ...food area stripped!!!had to ask for a baguette!!Also did not replenish fruit, sliced meat. Need to be up front if no meals available on Saturday or Sunday

Really nice and pleasant reception process, plus the receptionist made sure that we had dinner even when we arrived late, after restaurant closing. She also arranged late breakfast for us. Lovely human being. Room was basic but clean, and price reflected that. Good parking.

Parfait pour une étape. Petit déjeuner buffet. Literie très confortable. Personnel très agréable

This is a budget Hotel on the outskirts of Challons and ideal for stop but not overly comfortable. The Breakfast was good but expensive @14 euro each. The rooms are tiny, no English channels on the TV, bathroom adequate, only one side table. The restaurant served a very small selection of food which was adequate but expensive @ Euro £16.95 or Euro !8 for a large Pizza. THey appeared to expect everyone to attend the Restaurant @ 19.30 and then wait whilst one server took orders, served drinks and delivered to table.The Service was good and all staff appeared very pleasant, 2 out of 3 spoke good english. Big issue was the lack of a lift.
