I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the handling of my recent booking at Ibis Strasbourg (scheduled for October 4–6). I cancelled the reservation by calling the hotel and then hotel.com on September 30th, a full three days in advance. I spoke with both the hotel directly and Hotels.com customer service at the time, and was assured by both parties that the message would be conveyed, the booking cancelled, and a full refund issued. However, despite following all procedures and receiving confirmation that the cancellation request was communicated, I was later informed via email that my refund was denied. This outcome is extremely frustrating, especially given that I have been a Hotels.com member for over 15 years and have always trusted your platform for reliable service. While I understand if a small cancellation fee applies, denying the full $175 refund is unreasonable under these circumstances. I request that you review this case and issue either a full or partial refund, or at the very least, a Hotels.com credit for the amount. I have always preferred Hotels.com for its convenience and customer focus, but experiences like this make me reconsider and explore alternatives such as Airbnb, Marriott, or Hilton, which offer more flexible refund policies and loyalty benefits. Overall a good experience. The room was clean, the hotel was clean, the staff were very friendly. The cafeteria was really good.

We had a lovely stay here, with friendly staff, modern look reception and a nice room. Perfect for a one-night layover.

Hotel bar / waiter staff not very helpful, they were more interested in attending their friends that were obviously supplied with free alcohol, as we turned up at 11pm we asked if it was possible to eat at the restaurant and were rightly told that the restaurant was shut. After going into the room and seeing the 24hr food menu we asked for a cheese and ham toastie and were told that there was no bread but that we could have a croque Monsieur. 10 minutes later we were told that we could not have that either! And that the only thing left was a bruschetta which we were showed still frozen. as we were hungry we accepted however this was discusting and an absolute ripoff for the 9 Euro's each, the wine was also discusting we were informed to have as what we asked for they did not have, this was half a bottle for 12 Euro's! Chateau Valoussiere Blank!!! Not nice to say the least!!!!!!!!!

Very basic hotel, tiny rooms, and unhelpful front desk staff. Only good for sleeping on a road trip, not for more than 12 hours!

If you wanna stay in the hotel just to sleep the hotel is ok. Room is small but bed was very confortable. Staff has lots of difficult to speak English. There was no chanels in English in the TV.

Frokosten er ikke verdt pengene - knapt noe pålegg og brød. Ingen etterfylling av kniver og glass.

El problema no fue el hotel, sino la gestión de la reserva a través de Expedia. Reservé 10 días antes del viaje y, al llegar, nos informaron de que había overbooking. Tras más de una hora buscando una solución, nos asignaron una habitación doble en lugar de la triple que habíamos reservado. Al día siguiente, el hotel nos comunicó que Expedia no había abonado el importe de la reserva y que debíamos reclamar directamente a Expedia para obtener el reembolso. Una semana después de presentar la reclamación, seguimos sin recibir ninguna respuesta.

Wir (Familie mit Kind) sind nachts angekommen (ich hatte vorher angerufen um die späte Ankunft anzukündigen). Als wir um 0.30 ankamen hieß es wir hätten kein Zimmer. Dann wurde uns vorgeschlagen ein ungeputztes zu nehmen (Betten und Bad aufgewühlt und Handtücher auf dem Boden) und schließlich wurde um 1.40 ein sauberes Zimmer gefunden aber in einer kleineren Kategorie (hatten dreibettzimmer bestellt und bekamen nur ein Doppelbett). Wir mussten das Hotel um 4.30 verlassen zum Flughafen - war eine schlimme Erfahrung. In Rechnung gestellt hat man uns natürlich den vollen Preis für die 3h. Nie wieder wurde ich das Hotel betreten.

El personal maravilloso. Todos muy amables. La habitación le faltaba un poquito de limpieza y la almohada necesita cambio.
