Unsafe neighborhood. Hotel is nice

The hotel is in a really unsafe neighborhood, the Uber driver warned us not to leave the hotel at night. We never checked in, we last and found other accommodations. 2 woman traveling alone should feel safe

The hotel is beautiful. So clean and comfortable. Very accommodating staff also. However the area is not great. As two girls we felt very unsafe leaving the hotel to get to places.

Where do I start. First of all the distance from gare du nord is around 2 miles off. Then when you eventually make you way there which can I add was a little unsettling even 434-year-old male it put me on edge. It’s not in the greatest part of town once I finally got into the room the air-conditioning was pathetic almost as if it wasn’t on. My light switch turned off the complete lighting circuit so something was wrong there.. and to top this all off the restaurant and Bar as advertised didn’t mention that then I open between the 4th of August and the 2nd of September so I went without food or drink overall not happy so I’ve checked out at 7 pm

Hotel was more like 3 star. Air conditioning barely functioning. Location very poor. We only stayed one night checked out on Sunday morning 13th July. We booked into The Crowne Plaza Paris Republique for the last 6 days. We were informed we could not receive any refund.

This is a great hotel in a not-so-great neighborhood. The location and convenience are fantastic for seeing Paris and moving around in the city. Just need to be a little cautious in the evening and perhaps not walk alone after dark (which is good advice for almost anywhere you go). We would stay here again.

Great hotel, which is well maintained and chic. The staff members are welcoming, friendly and helpful.

I don't recommend this hotel. The hotel rooms are large but the neighborhood is extremely dangerous. It is the worst street in whole Paris. Too much gangs and drugs activities all day and night. Dont stay here. I will not recommend it at all. Very bad area

The proximity to Eurostar was nice (15 min walk) but the walk to get there felt very unsafe. I stayed in the Junior suite which had a big tub, that was lovely. There’s no separate shower but they have a handheld shower attachment on the tub. It’s slippery getting in/out but loved the tub regardless. At the hotel, the door lock did not feel secure (deadbolt was automatic but anyone with the key could come in). I put the end table between the front door and bathroom door to prevent anyone from opening in my sleep. Also, there was no “do not disturb” sign for the door so the staff knocked every two hours the first day when I was asleep. I asked for them to not come the subsequent days but they still knocked at least once per day. The hotel is right next to a school with young kids. Do not stay here if you need to sleep later than 8am. The property felt secure, the staff were average/nice, there’s a restaurant on site but no one was eating there or working at the times I came and went. The best was super comfortable. There were no views. The price and high review rating is what made me book this property. Whilst the biggest issue was feeling safe in the neighbor as a solo female traveler, I would stay here again if I had a tight budget.

Easy check in, clean and simple

I was working a night shift so chose the hotel due to its close location to the train station to get back to London. It's not a terrible hotel. But they charge you more than the night rate for the room to 'cover the mini bar' which has 6 items in it that would not calculate to the cost the charge your card (which I am yet to see a refund) and they have some serious plumbing issues. I came to the hotel at 3am and the overflow / cistern in a bathroom in an adjoining room was going off every 3 minutes. So yay, I never slept! I left early as little to no point trying to get any sleep. Overall for 4hrs an utter waste of time & money.

Shower curtains needed!!!! Dining options not what we expected

Great experience, quite a quirky place, but for Paris it was a great change - the bar area is brilliant also as is the courtyard - the room is massice if not a little odd in terms of arrangement. The check in was easy online with several email prompts making that process super quick and simple, check out the same.
