A nice modern hotel, on arrival we had a pleasant surprise of a room upgrade. It was lovely, clean and comfortable. One strange point was the toilet was rather compact, but without space for a handwash basin. You had to walk to the shower room to wash your hands. Felt that was slightly odd, but ok as only there one night.

Kids loved the pool. Breakfast was a good selection with all you need. Room is spacious, charming and clean.The ev chargers were a bonus. All staff very helpful and friendly (and speak great English!).

I liked it had shuttle service to the airport. While I mentioned this was important at check in, I wasn’t told I needed to place a reservation for the shuttle. I did get on the shuttle by luck. It is a nice hotel with a lovely lobby.

AWFUL__Always use Novotels in France--never this one again. My room was so noisy could hear constant traffic noise, also room hot and temperature control in effective as when on made a noise.

Arrived at 11pm to an empty Reception area. Waited a few minutes and then found 3 staff near the bar, one of whom appeared to be the Manager who accompanied me back to the Reception area when the staff member re-appeared. Curt and perfunctory check in with minimal information given over and I had to ask how to get to my room.

The Novotel in Clermont-Ferrand was conveniently just off the autoroute. Good protected parking and very efficient check-in. (And they are DOG FRIENDLY). Rooms are what you expect, although our room was way too warm and even we couldn't regulate the temperature satisfactorily. Not sure what was going on, but the thermostat was not responding. The best part: The food offerings at the Novotel are excellent. A very good bar menu of bistro fare, including Croque Monsieurs. But the restaurant itself is terrific. Way beyond anything you would imagine at a Novotel. We will stay there again just for the restaurant!
