Novotel Nice Centre Vieux Nice

A conveniently located hotel near the tram line but with some paperwork issues when seeking invoices / receipts for my stay.

The pool was closed, and despite the numerous emails welcoming us to the hotel, no one informed us. The bathroom smelt of sewers. The carpet was dirty and the hotel needs updating. We will not be staying here again.

I choose this hotel due to the roof top pool for the kids to use in the evenings and when we arrived they advised it’s not currently open due to a technical fault. Apart from that, nice hotel, location and good food/ breakfast.

Really appreciated the water fountains on each floor. Staff super friendly. Bar/restaurant lovely. Breakfast was ok, although could have had a couple more options on the cooked section. Shame that the pool was closed as we did not realise this prior to booking and we booked based on the pool.

I had a truly great experience with the staff — they are attentive, professional, and always ready to help with any issue. They make you feel completely comfortable in the property, just like being at home. Every single team member I interacted with was exceptional. I dealt with four or five people in total, including a wonderful front office manager who went above and beyond to resolve any concern and ensure my stay was perfect. I would definitely come back. Many thanks to the entire team!

A bit more run down than on many previous visits and mattress very uncomfortable until we turned it over, but can’t complain otherwise.

An outdated but clean hotel with wonderful, friendly staff. Walking distance to everything you might want in Nice. The amenities (shower, bath, sinks) are old, and might back up a bit- but clean. If you're lucky, you might be able to grab a free parking spot in front of the hotel.

Great place

Perfect for a visit to Nice if you are comfortable using public transport - which we were - as it is 5 minutes walking from a tram line.

Excellent service everything was perfect. The receptionist name Christin or Cristian he was amazing and lovely , took amazing care of us and helped us through everything thank u so much

Hotel is perfectly located to access Old Nice, the train station, bus stops, trams, etc to get to all surrounding areas. The staff were excellent but especially the bar/restaurant area. The main lobby, restaurant and outdoor areas including pool were well maintained, the hallways and rooms themselves were a bit older with stained carpets, thus my lower review for the facilities.

As an Accor member, i tend to use Novotel quite often as i travel plenty. This is the worst Novotel I've stayed in so far. The smell in the room and the corridoor is horrible and the old stained carpets will give an answer to that smell. I'm suprised as you tend to find Novotel have a quite uniform quality and feel you expect. The service was quite rigid also, small things like there not beinf a fresh bottle of hand wash from the previous guest and when I called to ask reception as we'd ran out they replied "impossible" to do and I could come down and ask??.. little things like this make you feel asking for anything is a chore. All round needs a face lift as that run down feel doesn't match the brand. The one thing I did find pleasent was the mattress which was really comfortable once you get past the issues.

Rather pricey for what you get. Some reception staff appear stressed at simple requests huffing and eye rolling. Breakfast very basic including mouldy oranges. The people cleaning the rooms though excellent work very friendly as are the bar staff.
