Quick Palace Pau

The staff was very friendly and the place was clean, albeit very basic. The soap for the sink was not available, we had to keep squeezing out of the shower stall. Not too bad since all you had to do was turn around. There is no shower curtain either so you had to make sure the shower head was turned in. The bathroom is not very private, it has an open top and the doors are just like blinds.

We got very lost and did not actually arrive until 6a.m. so only stayed a few hours. However Ben the receptionist was very accommodating. The room was clean but the bathroom door was broken and the bin had not been emptied, apart from that all good

Comfortable stay in fairly basic but adequate room. There was a carpet/some sort of floor covering which spooked out dog. I guess smells linger (we couldn't detect anything but dogs do have super sense of smell). Apart from that, it was absolutely fine and we would stay again, when next passing by.

Great hotel

The hotel is a fair bit away from Pau centre. It is close to a large hospital with other chain hotels nearby. It was within a 10-15 minute walk to the hospital bus stop but through the hospital grounds, not well lit nor marked. In other words not a convenient location unless you have a car. The hotel staff I encountered were polite, answered my questions but nothing more. The room and bed were what to expect. Adequate but not great. They had a breakfast but I did not partake. Most places are overpriced for what you get but since nothing, I mean nothing else was nearby, one might opt for the breakfast. I chose this hotel for the proximity to a friend's home. Otherwise a place closer to Pau center would be recommended. We spent most of the time in town anyway. Reception has limited hours with a person. I arrived at the off time but fortunately the door was unlocked and i left my bag at the front desk. No one, not even housekeeping was around to ask if it would be ok. I did not fear leaving my bag.

It was great, easy check-in, nice room - basic but everything that was advertised and clean. Only quibble was that one of the soap dispensers had fallen off the wall and been left on the side and the other one had no soap in it. Was probably an oversight by cleaners but everything else was great. Sat outside in the evening, under a tree on the picnic benches. Relaxing, quiet and stress free place.

The gentleman who was on reception during our stay was extremely polite, friendly and helpful. We thought the area would be more interesting than it was. Cannot complain about the hotel for the money.

We stayed one night and the room was clean and comfortable. The toung man on reception was efficient and polite.

Stayed for 5 nights. Good value but far from center. If you do not have a car you should not stay there. Near the hospital and the highway.

It was only used as a one night stop over on the way down to Spain

It was just an overnight stop close enough by car to visit Paul and good nights rest for onward journey ,it did exactly what we wanted

We had a pleasant night at this hotel. It was good value for the price. The staff on duty were helpful and spoke English. Breakfast was good. Perfect for a nights stopover.

Reception staff member extremely helpful, efficient and friendly with good command of English.We telephoned ahead as we were running late and were given clear exact instructions for checking in, if no staff were present. Easy well lit parking, secure environment. Self service breakfast but started at 6.00 am if you needed an early getaway. Clean room and brilliant for the price. Only concern was walls in en-suite room didn't reach the ceiling! Excellent for overnight stay if travelling or to explore the area.
