Maitai Express Tahiti

This is an excellent choice to stay while in Papeete if you plan on taking the ferry to Moorea since it’s right across the street. We landed late and only stayed one night. It’s close to cafes, the Pearl museum, and the waterfront. Minor issue was the bed felt sandy but it was large and comfortable and had great pillows.

Rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are small and hotel is next to a busy road. However it is also close to the market and ferry

Room was on the small side; AC was weak - use “boost” to increase fan & cool room. Great location within walking distance to PG cruise port & market.

The hotel was very clean and staff very helpful. They held our bags when we arrived at 6 am, and we went on a safari until it was time for check in. I also did laundry and the staff helped me with the washer. Room was clean and comfortable. Had a fridge and nice hot shower. Very convenient to the ferry and tons of shopping.

Note to travellers: this hotel is only meant as a short-term stay, mainly for cruise passengers leaving or arriving at the Pape'ete cruise terminal across the street. The rooms are mostly tiny with no space for large suitcases. There are very few amenities: no airport shuttle, no hair blower in the room (you have to borrow one from front desk), only instant coffee in-room and no 24 hr coffee station or ice machine anywhere in the hotel, no microwave. The rooms do have a small fridge, a safe, and kettle. The hotel is clean, and the staff are very helpful, but the hotel does not offer any services like booking tours. Especially helpful were the overworked breakfast room ladies. There was only one person on duty for breakfasts, who were quickly swamped when the room filled during breakfast rush, unable to both clear tables and stock breakfast items at the same time. Breakfast was very good, though, with a toaster oven, croissants, bread, cheese, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee and tea, some cereals. Exceptional front desk staff were Tinitua, Nohoarii, and Titania. We would not stay here again, unless for one overnight.

Hotel is a short walk from cruise terminal and 10 minutes drive to the airport. Staff are very friendly, nice, and helpful

The staff was very helpful from checking in to helping with arrangements for taxis. The rooms were clean and location was central to all the attractions. The breakfast is too costly for what is offered.

Location for cruise was perfect

Everything was exactly as I expected which was wonderful! The staff were exceptionally helpful with taxi rides, pre flight shower, food recommendations and things to see and do!!!!

We checked in at 5 am, but didn't need to check into our room. We just needed our bags held, which they did, and filled up our water bottles for us before going on an all day excursion. The room was comfortable, there's ice and laundry available, and it's close to everything. We chose this location because we were catching a ferry the next morning to bora bora and will be using them upon return for a ferry to moorea. Very nice and comfortable.

Staff were friendly and VERY helpful. The only complaint was the band from next door restaurant that played late and we could hear in our room.

Clean room. Nice bathroom but only had cool water for shower. Would recommend staying there to friends.

The facility is rather new and all equipment and amenities are as expected

We booked two rooms and I was expecting to pay when we checked in but they took a 50% payment one day before we arrived and the balance the day we checked in. I had wanted my friend to pay on check in but this could not be done due to the above. The rooms are very clean and the bed comfy but the rooms are tiny, so no room for two many suitcases. Overall four star but no amenities other than the room (we did not have the continental breakfast)

I was only there overnight so only experienced the room. Arrived late in the day and flew out early the next morning. Staff fulfil and room lovely. Very clean and as pictured. Would stay again
