Jakob

We arrived at Jakob after visiting the castles and was greeted by Magnus whose family owns this inn. It is quaint and well kept and it shows. The room was a nice size and comfortable. It was simple and clean and we enjoyed our stay. There is no elevator so you must be able to climb stairs to the rooms. Magnus was kind and carried my suitcase to our room. He also recommended restaurants and we loved the food and ambiance. The downtown is a short walk. The breakfast is ok, not great. Everyone at this inn is very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and spoke enlglish but were happy to tolerate my attempt at German until I got stuck

Loved this little hotel. Although it’s a bit of a difficult walk to get here from the station, once here it’s all great! The service was really good. Breakfast was included in our room booking and was a simple but hearty fare! The marble cake was amazing! Would definitely stay again if ever come back to Fussen and maybe request room with a balcony :)

Easy checkin and the staff was very friendly . Although the hotel isn’t in the main area of fussen it’s a short scenic walk to the main downtown area. My husband and i walked it later at night and felt safe both ways. Free breakfast was good!

Very nice, super clean and friendly hotel just about a 5 minute walk from the center of Füessen. Kid and family friendly and easy to park if you are driving (like we were).

It’s in an area with lots of other hotels which is within walking distance of the centre. They accept dogs which was not great as they all started barking every time another dog went down the road. If I had read the small print better I wouldn’t have stayed knowing this. Good breakfast and friendly staff.

The hotel is set in the idyllic Sense Valley. The hotel is reached by driving through a narrow ravine. However, access to Altstadt Fuessen is by a 10-minute stroll along the Lech River. At the end of the valley is a park with an exercise trail, tennis courts, and other physical activities. Although generally quiet, we were awoken early each morning by garbage or delivery trucks passing the hotel. Our room was pleasant but not exceptional for its comfort, size, or amenities. We did enjoy the balcony though. In addition to the morning traffic, our sleep was less than ideal because of the bed itself. To make a double, two single frames were put together. This resulted in a wooden rail running down the center of the bed not covered by the mattresses. The mattresses were firmer than we like. Although we opened a window and had the heater off, the room was warm and the bed only came with heavy comforters. The shower though was hot with good water pressure. We enjoyed the breakfast, but I thought it was typical for Europe. The cake slices were a nice touch though. The Wifi was strange. I struggled connecting my Android phone but then had a somewhat fast connection. My wife never established a good connection with her iPhone. The amazing staff is what really sets the hotel apartment. They made us feel very welcome and quickly responded to any request we had. Although we enjoyed our stay, we will stay somewhere else if we visit Fuessen again.

What a wonderful little hotel, the staff was so pleasant! The hotel was great super clean, a tiny little shower but that’s no big deal! Breakfast was lovely a great way to start your day! This was such a wonderful little place!

Wonderful family operated hotel. Clean comfortable room, filling breakfast, close to city center and you can take a peaceful walk along the river until you reach the town center. Very pleased with my stay.

Lovely ten (10) minute walk to the old town along the Lech River. Delicious breakfast with both sweet and savory items offered - service with a smile! Room nicely furnished, clean comfortable with private balcony. Proprietors very friendly, helpful and eager to please.

The best hotel ever stayed in Germany. The superb customer service and location. I will defitnitely stay here again when traveling back to Germany.
