Foster's West Bay Resort

Room is right on the beach. Staff is excellent. Food available. Great place

The only thing good about Foster’s was the location & view. Mr Daniel was also great too. The property is not very clean, we turned the faucets on when we got there and had nothing come out of the hot side at all. We complained and they said they fixed it. It wasn’t much better… the shower had a trickle come out, at best. No a/c in the bathroom, so they kept the windows open- with no screens, and 99 degrees, 88% humidity. By the time you took a “shower” in the barely trickling water, and the sweat and bug bites were extreme. -The bed felt like a brick, and was MISERABLE. -We asked before coming if there was a safe in the room, and they said yes. (There ended up being 2) but neither worked and the keys were gone. -The property has a “lagoon” coming across the front of it, and pouring into the ocean each time it rains. Workers said it is just rain water that dumps when it gets full, but it smells like 100% sewer, and so awful. -the property claims a kitchenette, and although the cabinets are loaded with pans, there is mo stove, and the microwave would not pop a bag of popcorn. -They do have an onsite restaurant, but it is way overpriced compared to the other restaurants in the area. My husband ordered orange juice and received some sort of powder “tang” mix. This restaurant also added in a tip on the bill, as well as gratuity! Location of the property was amazing was amazing, but they need to desperately put some money into the property, and get it cleaned up.

The lights went off for almost 5 hours took them a while to fix it and it was hot. I kept trying to contact the desk person no one answered and no one reached out to me at least for an explanation or courtesy I was expecting to hear We give you a discount for the inconvenience for next staying in our hotel that was very disappointing to me.

The people that work there make you feel like family. It is right on the beach. Relaxation is easy to accomplish.

This is a lovely property. Mr. Foster and his staff are very friendly and accommodating. They really get to know the guests and go out of their way to make sure you are enjoying your stay. Everything met our expectations.

Staff were very friendly, had a nice complimentary drink on arrival. But the room was very dated with old sheets and looked nothing like the one in the photos. There was no soap or shampoo on arrival.

We stayed in the treehouse, which looked great in photos on hotel.com but in truth was greatly overpriced. We have stayed in cheap beach huts in India and Thailand so don’t mind roughing it but we expect to pay accordingly. The most they should charge is $20. The staff were lovely and very helpful and we loved the Island of Roatan.

The only negative thing about this place was the fact that they lost electricity Sunday morning. That was very inconvenient for us but we managed. The people are great. The view and the beach is beautiful.

Nice location. Room was rustic, and worn thin. A cheap stay.

The bedrooms was really nice and comfortable, I dislike the water of the place to shower, because it was not fresh water it taste like salty water.

I went to Fosters with 4 other people.They gave us all rooms that had NO hot water. There were small ants crawling all over the floor in all of our rooms. They have no idea how to prepare food. We were served fajitas with no tortillas. The beans and rice were cold. The beer was NOT cold, coffee was $2 a cup and I got 2 refills that were $2 each so I was charged $6 for coffee in the morning. We were short changed twice, an accident, I doubt it. The small stove in the kitchenette did not work in my room. They started playing loud music at 7:00am so we could never sleep in. The inside door handle in one of the rooms stopped working so one of our party got locked inside the room. The music was so loud he could not even call out the window to get some help, he had to call us on his phone. We went to the office to complain, the manager followed him back to the room, spent 10 minutes fiddling with the handle and then left the room and shut the door and locked him in the room again. One of their employees who worked in the bar, Eddie, was great and the maids were friendly and helpful. All in all, I would never stay there again and DO NOT recommend this resort to anyone. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Great location, staff good overall, facility is a little old, some stuff isn't working properly like faucets, hot water and housekeeping wasn't the best but I would come back, very friendly staff, close to West end, nice location on West Bay!

Setting was beautiful. The room had a spectacular view. occasional problems with power outages and hot water were more than offset by the friendly and accommodating staff.

The property is older and needs some work but the staff are amazing!! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The food is good, the drinks are strong and the beach is beautiful!!!! I would definitely stay there again!!

great location , friendly staff. The property was not perfectly maintained. But it was very nice. Looking forward to returning.
