Foster's West Bay Resort

The only thing good about Foster’s was the location & view. Mr Daniel was also great too. The property is not very clean, we turned the faucets on when we got there and had nothing come out of the hot side at all. We complained and they said they fixed it. It wasn’t much better… the shower had a trickle come out, at best. No a/c in the bathroom, so they kept the windows open- with no screens, and 99 degrees, 88% humidity. By the time you took a “shower” in the barely trickling water, and the sweat and bug bites were extreme. -The bed felt like a brick, and was MISERABLE. -We asked before coming if there was a safe in the room, and they said yes. (There ended up being 2) but neither worked and the keys were gone. -The property has a “lagoon” coming across the front of it, and pouring into the ocean each time it rains. Workers said it is just rain water that dumps when it gets full, but it smells like 100% sewer, and so awful. -the property claims a kitchenette, and although the cabinets are loaded with pans, there is mo stove, and the microwave would not pop a bag of popcorn. -They do have an onsite restaurant, but it is way overpriced compared to the other restaurants in the area. My husband ordered orange juice and received some sort of powder “tang” mix. This restaurant also added in a tip on the bill, as well as gratuity! Location of the property was amazing was amazing, but they need to desperately put some money into the property, and get it cleaned up.

The lights went off for almost 5 hours took them a while to fix it and it was hot. I kept trying to contact the desk person no one answered and no one reached out to me at least for an explanation or courtesy I was expecting to hear We give you a discount for the inconvenience for next staying in our hotel that was very disappointing to me.

El Hotel Foresters es una ESTAFA. Desde el ingreso a la propiedad del hotel es un DESASTRE. No está asfaltado es de terracería, con grandes agujeros, olor fétido de agua acumulada y no tiene iluminación. Las habitaciones son incómodas, amuebladas con equipo de cocina y muebles viejos. El agua "potable" que sale de los grifos, es agua salada y con mal olor, los drenajes del hotel están a flor de tierra no tienen fosa séptica y el agua la descargan al mar por medio de un canal. El hotel tiene muy poca iluminación exterior y el diseño de las habitaciones absolutamente incómodas y en mal estado.

Love Fosters, very accommodating and love the cabanas on the beach!

El hotel se encuentra en mal estado, las instalaciones descuidadas, las habitaciones sucias, el agua para bañarse y cepillarse los dientes esta contaminada, la habitación que me toco no se podia poner llave. No recomiendo visitar el lugar menos si se viaja con familia.

The people that work there make you feel like family. It is right on the beach. Relaxation is easy to accomplish.

This is a lovely property. Mr. Foster and his staff are very friendly and accommodating. They really get to know the guests and go out of their way to make sure you are enjoying your stay. Everything met our expectations.

Staff were very friendly, had a nice complimentary drink on arrival. But the room was very dated with old sheets and looked nothing like the one in the photos. There was no soap or shampoo on arrival.

We stayed in the treehouse, which looked great in photos on hotel.com but in truth was greatly overpriced. We have stayed in cheap beach huts in India and Thailand so don’t mind roughing it but we expect to pay accordingly. The most they should charge is $20. The staff were lovely and very helpful and we loved the Island of Roatan.

The only negative thing about this place was the fact that they lost electricity Sunday morning. That was very inconvenient for us but we managed. The people are great. The view and the beach is beautiful.

Nice location. Room was rustic, and worn thin. A cheap stay.
