This was the cutest cottage with all the convenience. Excellent location and beautiful scenery.

This was my first time staying at this hotel. I was initially expecting shared bathrooms or older rooms, but to the contrary, everything exceeded expectations. The room was spotless, the restaurant served delicious food, and the breakfast was excellent. A great overall experience!

Felt like a kids camp. Minimal anything.. no ac or heat. No fridge or microwave. Mustshare a common fridhe with everyone in your hostle like building. But clean! And noce people.

The room was super large and so was the bathroom. Heafboard ahowed some wear and tear. The pillows are flat. Would be nice to have new fluffy pillows. Note the restaurant is in a different building. Good value for the money.

The Expedia listing for this property is misleading. The listing shows a quaint little stand-alone cabin. The actual facility is has all of the charm of a college dormitory. The room was small and cramped and the bed was small and uncomfortable. Had I known what the facility really looked like, I would have booked at another hotel in the area. The breakfast buffet was pretty marginal as well. Its was marginally ok for a quick overnighter but there are better hotels close by.

Stayed in lodge. Very spacious and luxurious room and handicapped bathroom. Liked coffee stand and sitting area in entryway. Restaurant gourmet and fantastic. Attached museum of local lore and personalities was unique, well put together and worth anyone’s time to get a locals feel of glacier side life. Highly recommend.

The breakfast was fantastic as well the views of the mountains. Wonderful experience!

Great location!

The hotel is on an old farm site, and the rooms are in various different buildings. My room was in the furthest building from the restaurant. There is no lighting on the paths between the buildings, which are gravel and have puddles in the hollows. If you're staying in winter, you will want a flashlight to make your way around. There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room, they were in the lobby area of each building. The wet room style shower was great, with good water pressure. The staff were all lovely, and the restaurant food was great. There aren't many options for places to stay in the Glacier Lagoon area, and this hotel served its purpose well.

This was a nice little community hotel. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Checkin was quick and easy. We ate dinner at the restaurant, and it was very good. The complimentary breakfast was a great way to start the day. This is a great place to stay in a rather remote area.

The location is beautiful and the staff was very professional. The room was clean and the breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately our room was terrible. The rooms are grouped into smaller buildings, with a main door and a lobby and hallway with doors. Our room was right by the front door and coffee machine in the lobby. The room door had no gasket or soundproofing and we might as well have been sleeping in the lobby, because we could hear every footstep. Even with earplugs it was terrible.

Lovely accommodations, awoke to a gorgeous sunrise, and the restaurant served a delicious breakfast and dinner! What’s not to love?? 👍

The cottage is excellent, it was clean and cozy. We loved the kitchen too.

Property fit my needs as someone who needed a place to stay overnight in Jokulsarlon. Access to the rooms was convenient and the beds were comfortable after a day of hiking. The staff was excellent and provided what I needed. Breakfast was excellent every morning, and dinner service was fantastic.

Very nice place well away from busy city centre

The rooms are comfortable and functional. Hali is rather remote (as are the few hotels in this area). Restaurant was fine. The outside grounds could use some straightening up and maybe parking some farm equipment in a garage or barn. But ... the new of the mountains and ocean from the hotel rooms is FANTASTIC!!!

So close to the meeting location for the blue ice cave tour.

The staff was helpful, polite and friendly. Being on the water was really nice. The room was clean and comfortable. The food was great at the restaurant. My only complaint is that our room was right beside the common area which was very loud. I would stay here again
