JW Marriott Hotel Kolkata

Great hotel. From the moment we arrived to check out, the staff were top rate - every single person encountered was pleasant, smiley, not just willing, but wanting, to help make the stay better. Could not ask for more. We booked an exec room and was on the 20th floor. Amazing views. Big room, really comfortable bed, big bathroom, top quality amenities. There's a great coffee shop on the ground floor, as well as the buffet breakfast area. Nightclub in the basement but that did not affect us. Great pool and fitness area. An absolutely fabulous stay and what a great place Kolkata is. Thank you

I only wish I got a little upper floors. But the hotel is immaculate. Will definitely stay again !!

There isn’t much negative things to say about this hotel if any. 5* isn’t enough, needs to be more. Great location, lovely staff, great food, the the room is of the highest quality. I can not recommend this hotel for your stay more. The spa is also great, gym was perfect with Subhojit providing great PT. Everything about the room is perfect, be it the amenities, the bed, the shower. It all just works perfect.

Kulsum was the best from the moment we stepped in, and her friendly welcoming persona, was embodied by all at JW from our hostess at the Top notch Asian restaurant to the Gym instructor….awesome stay, wish i could go back

**Pros:** - Spotless property with excellent housekeeping; staff are constantly attentive. - Beautiful rooms with comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms, and great views. - Food quality is excellent across the property. - Manager Aman was exceptionally helpful, resolving challenges quickly and professionally. **Cons:** - Breakfast service is inconsistent—staff often chat among themselves or get pulled into distractions instead of attending to guests. - Atmosphere during breakfast can feel chaotic, with some guests yelling on phones, shouting at each other, or even pushing and shoving. - I had to change my room once due to noise from nearby guests, which was frustrating for a JW Marriott standard. - Service focused more on quickly clearing plates rather than offering refills like coffee or tea. **Overall:** Despite the disruptive clientele and uneven breakfast service, the core property quality and certain staff like Aman make JW Marriott Kolkata worth staying at. I would still rate it **4 out of 5

I really was impressed with the JW. The rooms were new, beds comfortable, service was great in most areas like the breakfast area and the concierge. Very helpful and smooth business stay. Just the bar was lacking in service. Great place to stay in Kolkata. 25 min from the airport. My driver Ranjun was great and drove me around to various appointments for the day. He was excellent.

It is well maintained property. House-keeping staff were good and hardworking. Staff in the breakfast area are mostly ok, found a staff (Marina) was terrible. She was rude, unprofessional and disrespectful on multiple occasions. She ruined my experience of having a leisurely breakfast with family. No action was taken even lodging a formal complaint.

One of the best experiences I have ever had at a hotel. Everything was impeccable. The staff were amazing. The food options and drinks were both plentiful and reasonably priced for a 5 star hotel. Executive lounge was a treat. You are treated like royalty here. JW Marriott in Kolkata is perfection. I hope they don’t change and would be more than happy to return here.

The staff is what makes this hotel home away from home. Starting with the welcome drink, my wife’s birthday cake, and final day gifts reflect the soft touch of the Indian culture and hospitality is a class by itself. Special shout out to Sukanta and 16th. Floor manager for the extra care with room service. Laundry was always on time. The concierge service was superb as well with my unique needs of scanning documents and even medicine. The security staff came to know us and always smiling when we returned to the hotel from our local trips. Shout out to the entire team at JW. No wonder it’s considered a top hotel in Kolkata!
