This is my favourite hotel in Delhi- it’s a little bit out of the way, but it’s set in a lush garden, with a beautiful swimming pool. The rooms are tastefully furnished, generous in size and comfortable. Great staff on top of all this.

The staff at as very very attentive and helpful. The room was very large and well set up . The hotel was clearly once a grand British style hotel that is gently worn but a very pleasant oasis in Delhi .

A really nice surprise, possibly the best service I have ever experienced at any hotel before. It will be difficult to stay anywhere else in Delhi and it will be the new benchmark to compare other hotels too. Everyone knows you name, nothing is too much trouble and the rooms are huge which means it's a great base of you are staying a little longer. Location is convenient for most attractions.

I loved this hotel. The staff was simply amazing, so attentive & genuine. The cost was not outlandish considering the comfort & facilities. I am a Californian, but an Anglophile at heart. This hotel is reminiscent of the British Raj times and Downton Abbey. There are many photos in the hotel showcasing its history of monarchs and their retinue that have graced the hotel. The rooms were very clean. The food in both the restaurants were great and the wait staff did an amazing job Overall a great and unique experience.

We stayed in a luxury suite which was well worth the extra expense, though not a great deal for those from the Global North. Service was excellent in the restaurants and front desk with a centralised tipping system that avoided moments of awkwardness. Breakfasts were amazing with a mixture of Eastern and Western dishes, some cooked order if required. Both of the restaurants were good wit the Garden Terrace offering a wider choice for those wanting a break from Indian cuisine. The service in both was pleasant and attentive. The pool was a welcome facility, prettily and quiet. In fact the garden setting and sense of space made a welcome relief from the bustle, chaos and attraction of Delhi. Perhaps the only minor negative feature was that the hotel was quite a distance from many of the major must-see sites.

A wonderful, historic hotel. Built in 1903 and situated in the Civil Lines area of Delhi, this is definitely a place you should consider. It goes without saying that the public areas, grounds and rooms are spot-on, well-maintained and spotlessly clean. The real selling point here though is the service. I can honestly say that the staff here, from the General Manager down, provided some of the best service I have ever experienced. Unfortunately, my luggage was mislaid by the airline and I was without it for 2 days. The staff couldn’t have been more supportive and provided me with essentials and even clothing as well as ordering a cab to take me to a local shopping centre to purchase a couple of items. Everyone was friendly, helpful and kind and I was frequently greeted by name around the hotel. Outstanding and highly recommended hotel in a nice, green area away from the hustle and bustle and with a number of bars and dining options within a 5 minute walk – as well as the Civil Lines Metro station which will connect you with anywhere in the city.
