Lost my phone in restaurant, the staff was able to return it. Kids enjoyed the facilities which most of them were free of charge. The view was spectacular, matched with the service. You have to try jungle trekking which is very refreshing and Karaoke (you will feel like a professional singer). I cannot say anything bad about the staff. They're all very good and very nice.

A must-try in Haranggaol Horison is "Arsik Ikan," a flavourful fish dish prepared with a rich blend of spices, including turmeric, lemongrass, and chilies, often cooked with local herbs. Another regional specialty is "Babi Panggang Karo," a roasted pork dish that is a staple in Batak cuisine, known for its tender texture and savoury taste. Exploring these local dishes provides an authentic taste of the region's culinary identity.

When it comes to dining locations, Haranggaol Horison offers a spectrum from humble roadside warungs to more established restaurants, particularly in areas like Tuktuk Siadong and Parapat. For Muslim travellers, finding Halal-certified eateries is generally straightforward in most Indonesian towns, though it's always advisable to confirm with the establishment. Many local eateries will clearly indicate if they serve Halal food, and the use of pork in dishes like Babi Panggang Karo means it's a dish to be mindful of if adhering to Halal dietary laws.

The cost of dining in Haranggaol Horison is remarkably accessible for international travellers. Street food and meals at local warungs can range from ₱ 50 to ₱ 150 (approximately USD 1-3), offering incredible value.
