We had a lovely stay with our four children. The pool is so nice and the green common spaces are lovely. The staff is very friendly and was very helpful in calling a doctor and pointing us to the hospital when one of our children was ill (fully recovered soon afterwards). The location is very close to the city centre. They helped us in finding a driver to visit Borobudur, Prambanan, and other nearby sites. Many restaurants are within walking distance. It's calm and quiet notwithstanding the central location. Definitely recommend and would return when visiting Yogya.

When interacting with locals, a gentle demeanor and a smile go a long way. It's considered polite to use your right hand for giving and receiving items, especially food or money. While tourist areas are accustomed to international visitors, dressing modestly, particularly when visiting religious sites or more traditional neighbourhoods, is advisable. Avoid public displays of affection that might be considered excessive by local standards.

When visiting popular landmarks like Daytrans Yogyakarta or Pasar Gading, maintaining a respectful attitude is important. At markets like Pasar Gading, be prepared for bustling crowds and engage in polite bargaining if you wish to purchase goods, but do so with a friendly approach. While there might not be a dedicated tourist police force in Mantrijeron itself, the local police are generally helpful. Visa Information

For Philippine passport holders planning to visit Mantrijeron, Indonesia, understanding the visa requirements is crucial. As of current regulations, Philippine citizens are generally granted visa-free entry into Indonesia for short stays, typically up to 30 days, for tourism purposes. This allows for a convenient entry into the country to explore destinations like Mantrijeron. It is essential to ensure your passport has a minimum validity of six months from your date of entry and that you possess proof of onward or return travel, as immigration officials may request this documentation.

The application process for any necessary visa, should regulations change or for longer stays, would typically involve submitting an application form, passport, photographs, and potentially proof of accommodation and sufficient funds. Fees and processing times can vary, so it is always best to check the official website of the Indonesian Directorate General of Immigration or the nearest Indonesian Embassy or Consulate for the most up-to-date information. For Filipino travellers, confirming visa requirements well in advance of booking flights is a prudent step to avoid any last-minute complications.

While visa-free entry is common, policies can be subject to change. Therefore, it is highly recommended that all travellers, including those from the Philippines, verify the latest visa regulations with the official Indonesian immigration authorities or the Indonesian Embassy in the Philippines before making any travel arrangements.
