Donegal House

Good location. The spacious and modern apartments are situated right in the center. Excellent beds. Mini fridge. Parking is available right outside. A good base for exploring the south of County Donegal. The town itself is small and lively.

Nice place. Bed and Breakfast vibe. I was worried about the lack of a front desk, but it was easy to get a pre-arranged key from a near-by store. Honestly, I was just staying here for an easy stay-over location to visit Slieve League the next morning, and on that front great location. Town is very sleepy with not a lot of late night dining options - but a few nice pubs. This place is right on the central square (or "Diamond"). Cheap public parking half a block away. I would stay here again if visiting.

Great spot nice clean and tidy area

Fantastic location and very clean! Cool refurbished building- nice character! There are not on-site staff- we picked the key card up from the store across the street without any issues. We were on the 3rd level so 6 flights of stairs without an elevator which was not a problem for us but might be.a consideration for others with heavy luggage. Great AC and comfortable bed. Wet shower with limited vanity area- ok for us but maybe not for some. On street over night parking was relatively easy to find. Walkable to everything- shops, restaurants, pubs. We enjoyed our stay!

A very handy place to stay in the center of donegal and plenty of parking!

Great place, quite funkie, close to pubs, centre of town, I’d recommend to everyone, but, stairs to carry baggage.

Loved our stay here. My only concerns were the difficulty to find parking nearby and the check in process was a little confusing since you have to run across the street to pick up the keys. Also, the building is sandwiched between 2 other buildings and was hard to find.

There is no on site staff and you have to pick your room keys up at that corner Spar. That is fine. But it is not communicated that the room is not refreshed daily. When I sent a message, via Expedia, asking about making up the room, I was told the room was only refreshed every other day. This did not happen, either. We stayed 3 nights and the the room was never refreshed. Would not have cared if this was communicated from the start. We would have been more careful with our towels. The location is marvelous and the rom is awesome, but would not go back due to feeling of being mislead.

Nice spacious room on the main square in Donegal. Though on the square, surprisingly very quiet. Walkable to everything in town. Had trouble using the e-key but was able to get a physical key within a minute’s walk. The included kettle and fridge were nice touches. Would definitely book again.

The location is in the diamond central Donegal. A lovely spot for gift shopping and eateries. Unusual bathrooms with open showers but clean. Some rooms larger than others. We had a front room and it was lovely.

The room was very clean and you could tell that there was a lot of thought put into the decor. However, it does give the feel that the owner is really trying to cram as much as they can into the space that they have. There’s no elevator so it is very difficult to bring luggage up two flights of stairs. It’s a self access building with a digital key, which was fine but there’s nobody watching the property in the evenings so at 2 am and again at 4 am, I was awoken by rowdy drunk people coming back from the bars with high heels, clacking on the wood floors outside my door. The bathroom is odd. It’s meant to be space saving I imagine but the whole thing becomes the shower. There’s no separation so you have to remove the towels and toilet paper before you shower and then afterward, the floor is wet with no mop or squeegee or anything to dry it. There were a lot of little lights that stayed on when you turn the lights out to go to sleep - like on the coffee maker TV fire detector, a breaker panel on the wall in there, and a green one from the ceiling that pretty much lit up the whole room - I think I counted 8. You have to put a card in a slot beside the door for the lights to turn on but because it’s digital entry using an app on my phone I did not have a physical key card so I had to use one of my personal cards which I ended up forgetting there and I have not yet heard back from them to follow up about getting it mailed back to me. It was a very convenient location.

The room was amazing, so clean, it smelled amazing, and the hotel couldnt be more convenient! Parking, although on the street, was easy and not expensive.

Gorgeous room overlooking the Diamond, which includes shops and restaurants. Beautiful castle 3 minute walk away. We can’t wait to go back! There are no elevators at this 3 story property, and the stairs are steep.

The room was lovely, cozy and comfortable. There was a big comfy chair and a love seat. The bed was great and I slept better than I have in a long time. The location is of course perfect being across from the main square. The shower was amazing, I didn't want to get out.

great location in the center of Donegal. Apartment was very clean, easy check in and key pick-up. Would have been nice to have a little more counter space for our stuff, but overall, really good. Bed was comfortable and the heater worked well.
