Merrion Square Studios

Room did not look as advertised in terms of cleanliness and general quality. The floor was very dirty, hairs left in the shower and urine stains all around the rim of the toilet. Other than that, the location and utilities provided were good.

Location, in walking distance to local amenities, and near local bus route. Nice accommodation with adequate facilities if you like to cook instead of going out and in walking distance of temple bar and other bars and restaurants so was perfect for my needs

The room was fine - good location and comfortable bed. But the shower drain was almost completely blocked and the bathroom flooded when we showered and took a really long time to dry out.

Floor was sticky; clean, but sticky. We had trouble making contact and getting inside.

We had a few issues with sticky floors and no hot water. Although the hot water issue was fixed the following day we had to cope with the sticky flooring for the remainder of our stay.

No reception area or luggage storage area while waiting to get into room. Entrance is in a back alley where garbage sits. Inside the entrance area is dark, dingy and dirty, it's a back entrance to a building with metal stairs and poorly lit. The room was an OK size, but the bathroom was extremely tiny. Not having a reception area or luggage storage was very inconvenient when we arrived in the morning, had to stand outside in the back alley with the garbage and try and find a storage faciality to hold our luggage until we could get into the room, would not recommend this property.

Room was very clean, tidy, comfy bed, clean bathroom! Can’t fault it at all and 100% will be back

We left early because the bedding had bloodstains and hair, and the floors were sticky. No staff on site when we arrived and hadn't yet received instructions to enter. Definitely not a three star hotel.

Excellent location, spacious room. A little noisy from other guests as we had the room next to key boxes/front door.

Liked clean, modern room and facilities. A few important things were missing: a second toilet roll, a tea towel, a second hook for second towel in bathroom and luggage racks

AVOID. The check-in process was very stressful and frustrating. The host sent the wrong lockbox code in the check-in instructions and I was unable to access the apartment. I tried contacting the host through multiple channels (Expedia messages, email, and the 2 phone numbers they had supplied) and received absolutely no response. As it was late evening I was ready to give up and go elsewhere. It was only after calling a different phone number I found on their website and waiting for almost 2 hours that I was finally given the correct code. Despite it being the host's mistake of sending the wrong code, I received no apology or offer of compensation for the immense stress I experienced. Unfortunately, the problems didn’t stop there. Once inside the apartment, I was appalled to discover that the bedsheets were dirty and had dark brown stains which appeared to be blood. I had to search the apartment building for clean sheets and change them myself, which is the last thing anyone wants to do after arriving after a long journey. The room also had visible dust and debris all over the floor, and the fridge was filthy, suggesting it hadn’t been properly cleaned or vacuumed in quite some time. Furthermore, the walls of the room had exposed limescale plaster which made it feel like staying in a room that was partially renovated. Overall, the lack of communication, cleanliness, and basic hospitality made this a very disappointing stay. Go elsewhere and save yourself the stress.

Good location and facilities. My only complaint is the shower was a bit grubby and the drainage wasn’t great. Overall though really comfortable and good for solo trip and those who want to relax after a long day
