No AC, minimal airflow, more humid than outside. 1 small fan in room only. View from room was obstructed so could see nothing. Felt empty and like an unimproved room from 1970. Many better options in Venice for comparable pricing.

ALL I CAN SAY IS STAY AWAY: BED BUGS AND ROACHES. there was no central AC, they placed a portable AC that emitted so much heat it made the room hot and they had a tiny little fan in a side table. The only good thing was the bathroom it was spacious. My daughter got bed bugs bites all over her body. There was only 1 lady that check us in no one else ever at the reception to ask for help. The place looks hunted and outdated. Not worth $178 euros. Do yourself a favor, save time and money on meds to help yourself and get something else.

The hotel itself was fine but there were absolutely no staff there. I had a very difficult time getting into the hotel itself, the only way in was to call a number posted on the front door and my phone didn't allow me to make an international call. It took about half an hour to finally get in, so definitely a frustrating experience. I was only there for one day, 2pm-5am the next day and at no point did I see any staff. I wish they had someone at the front desk helping, especially because it's such a tourist-heavy area.

The hotel seems to operate from Rome. While I have had regular contact via WhatsApp in business hours, which has been helpful, I have seen no receptionist in 4 days, and the reception desk looks messy. The cleaner is the only person here, and she is friendly but gets overwhelmed by questions from frustrated guests, understandably. On arrival there was no electricity. This took 24 hours to fix. I was given the wrong room number. I had to make two phone calls to Rome for the correct information. I had to fumble around in the dark to find my key, stumble in the dark to find my room and once inside, the room was very hot and pitch black. There is no air con and this is not explained in the information. There is no hot water in the shower. Security is an issue as anyone can walk in. The shared bathroom is usually locked and one evening two men pushed in front of me as I unlocked the door. They were polite but very insistent and on reflection it was unnerving. I stayed in this hotel a few years ago and it was well run. However now it is not. I will not be booking Hotel alla Fava again and unfortunately I do not recommend it to anyone.

Even though the hotel is super central and the owners were very helpful to checking in the whole proses was very strange. Didn’t see a single employee behind the desk and was instructed to grab the key from the draw are selfs. The shower was always freezing cold and no way to turn up the temperature no matter what we tried. The sink plug didn’t work and the air con was sub par as it may aswell of not been there. As I said very central and basically in the heart of the city for a cheaper price.

I wish I had read the avoid as the plague reviews. Our stay was a nightmare since the beginning. Same day of checking in I receive a message that my room was not available and have to go to another hotel. I am travelling with small kids so I said no asked to cancel and refund. The guy yelled at me for asking this and said we will be upgraded to a room on the canal. What a nightmare. My little boy was given a COT, room was sooo dusty we all feel the allergies. Bathroom has mold. There’s no tv. No ac. No reception whatsoever. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I even sent photos to the WhatsApp. Nothing they offer is true. They just lie about everything. The reception is so dusty, carpet and furniture very old, stained and smelly. I actually told I AM SO SORRY to some guest that were arriving while I was leaving. Worst hotel I has ever stayed in the entire world. the health department should remove their license. This place should not be able to operate. My son’s cot had a board just to the middle on the bed. He completely sank when he sat on it.

This hotel is terrible. From the moment we walked, no staff to assist, you have to search for your keys, no AC in the middle of summer & you’re just provided with a very loud bulky fan that might wake you up in the middle of the night. You may or may not have a room that’s cleaned and ready for your stay so essentially you might have to be your own cleaning staff. If you look behind the curtains you’ll find some linen to change out your own bedding as we had to find out the hard way since our room was not cleaned. It’s not worth risking your vacation but ironically it’s next to a gorgeous hotel and walking distance to the Roalto Bridge. Stay at your own risk bonjourno 😘

Cependant jamais vraiment de personnel présent et instruction pour Check-in plus ou moins clair. Pas d’air climatisé mais il n’était pas spécifié qu’il en avait donc en gros belle expérience pour un court séjour je recommande surtout si vous ne voulez pas payer cher!

The location was good for getting around. The housekeeper was very friendly and did a good job. This is a 2*hotel and that's what I would give it. There are many things listed as features of this hotel that just aren't so. There is no airport shuttle or luggage storage. There's no concierge services as there is no human in the hotel to speak to if the housekeeper isn't there. There is no laundry/dry cleaning service. If you want to speak to someone it is all done during certain hours through whatsapp. That's how you check in. You have to send your passport photo to a whatsapp account and they give you the door code to get in. Your key is in a plastic bag on the counter with your name on it. When you check out you leave the tax money in your room and the key on the counter. When we would leave each day the front door would be open but there was never anyone at the desk. We had an issue with no hot water and told the housekeeper who immediately went in to our room to check and verified it. She called someone right away. several hours later that afternoon I messaged to ask and got an answer back that there was someone coming. At least the next morning we had lukewarm water to shower. I sent a message to ask for extra pillows early the first evening. I got a message on whatsapp asking if we were in the room. Said yes but nothing. We asked the housekeeper the next morning and she got them for us. You also have to lock your door with a key at night, not safe in emerg

The directions to get to the hotel are not very well written. You have to get on one vaparetto and then switch at some point. The rooms are nice and clean. The room we stayed in had mold issues in the bathroom and shower. The shower is so tiny!!!! The beds are very firm and you are only given 1 pretty flat pillow, more were given upon asking. The A/C was a joke. The window open was best, but bring bug spray. Overall it is a nice hotel, but it’s an older building with quirks.
