Hotel Monica

Check-in another place / Noisy floors: You can hear everything from the corridor/ Noisy steps / 4 chairs no table on balcony / Very strong smell of stained humidity in lobby: Unbearable every day. I do not recommend for the high price paid

The property was listed as having "partially open bathroom." I thought that meant the toilet was not private from the shower area. Apparently it meant we had to share a bathroom with 6 other rooms! If it was shared bathroom it should be listed that way. Make things clear. When I went to use the bathroom it was obvious someone had been wearing outdoor shoes in there because there were dirty footprints on the wet floor. Also, someone had left the wet sweatshirt hanging over the shower curtain. Also, when I expressed my concern over the bathroom situation to the reception person he was quite rude. The entry way into the buidling smelled of sewage! The original listing for the room said "breakfast included" but when we got there we were told it was not. I also feel sure we booked a queen size bed but ended up with 2 twin beds on opposite sides of the room. The place was very noisy. This was the most unpleasant night I have spent since I was at camp as a child :-( I do not recommend this hotel!

Great location with an included breakfast. Room was clean, but not updated recently. Overall a great place to stay for those on a budget.

Very private location and quiet gardened tarr

Very convenient location to all of florence and in a safe area! There are plenty of local cafés, restaurants, and shops right in the streets around the hotel. Hotel was all that we needed for our stay and the room was clean! Would stay here again!

The property have very nice garden

A bit antiquated, but nonetheless comfy. Very handy to the train station and attractions. Some great cafes, bars and restaurants clise by.

Our room had the bathroom down the Halls from the room. Didn't realize that until we checked in. I would have picked a different hotel if I knew this. Apparently this is common in Italy though but it would have been nice to know ahead of time.

Next to the train station and within the historic centre of Florence, so is very convenient. Despite choosing a triple room, the room was not set up as such and instead we had to request this the next day. Property was dated but generally well maintained and clean. Towels were replaced daily. Cold breakfast was included daily and generally good.

My stay was very enjoyable. Hotel was adequate but very clean, staff friendly and helpful, lots of restaurants in the same street as the hotel and only a few minutes from tourist centre and train station.

Location, was convenient, near the station, and main streets, easy to find.

We were very pleased with our stay at Hotel Monica. The room was clean and comfortable. It was about a 10 minute walk to the train station and about 15 minutes to the main tour bus location. It was also convenenti to the Duomo. Even though there was no elevator, the staff cheerfully carried our bags both up and back down when we were coming and going which was a big help for 2 seniors. We highly recommend it.

The bed mattress were so old they sagged in the middle. Horrible!!!

Good location (near station and Accademy). Check in was at another hotel but very friendly and helpful. Room was basic and clean. Terrace area was lovely & though on busy street room was quiet. Breakfast was as expected, basic but enough. There was no bar which details said there was, so assume you go to the other hotel. As I was travelling alone with my daughter I wanted an area that was away from the room but inside the hotel after a long day of walking before bed, so that was a shame, otherwise very happy with choice for price.

This was a good affordable spot. The staff was friendly and check-in was simple.
