Arrived early. Left my bag and came back at chech in time. The bag was brought to my room. Room was clean. Great sleep after a long travel day. Perfect start to day with a good breakfast and a cappuccino. The hostess was couteous and friendly. The desk staff here is excellent. Always stay here before a cruise.

Very comfortable bed after a long travel day! Lots of great places to walk to for dinner or drinks. We took their shuttle from the airport - great communication and a very friendly, helpful and courteous driver. Will definitely stay there again!

The room was super, clean. The staff was very accommodating and went out of their way to work out a problem with a tour I tried to book. I was disappointed there was a loud nightclub behind hotel. Very loud at night.

We made a reservation ten months in advance. Less than a week prior to our reserved stay, we were informed by the hotel that they were overbooked. We were given an option to cancel or stay at a 'resort' of their choice that was 10 miles further out from the cruise port. The 'resort' they chose was very rustic and we were treated very well.

The front desk person was always on the phone. We were in the middle of checking in and the phone rings and we have to wait for 5 minutes. Same exact thing happened to us when we checked out. He wasn’t helpful about ways to get to the port earlier and we tried to cancel our shuttle. He claimed he didn’t know how to process a credit???

Look elsewhere! This hotel is tired in every way - furniture, carpet, paint, showers, etc. Beyond that, we had to climb up and down an open staircase to get to the bed from the bathroom. Suboptimal if you have an aging bladder. We stayed here for one night prior to our cruise departure thinking we were checking into a 4-star hotel. It’s 2 stars at best.

It did not start off well, I requested separate beds, and was given one bed. When I mentioned it to the desk clerk I felt that his response was negative and unacceptable. Eventually we got the separate beds. Prior to checking out, I was told of the additional cost of staying here as an added tax. This practice should be made transparent, especially when booking through Hotels.com

The room felt dirty. Big brown something on the carpet as soon as you walked in. Floor in bathroom was not cleaned. Black ??? Around shower. Overall the room was not cleaned. Elevator was disguising. Filthy! I will not be going back. Staff was very nice.

The room we were assigned was terrible, dirty bathroom, narrow, two levels bathroom down stairs, dangerous starecase to go to the upper section with the bed. They should never use this room for guest. On top of this the bed was small and the mattress probably 20 years old. Asked for 10am shuttle and was put on 11am shuttle which was late. Understaffed. Was probably nice hotel years ago but not today.

The reason for our low rating is because we booked this in Jan 2025 and then 2 days before our arrival in October they emailed to say they had overbooked and had to move us to another location (this new place was 25 minutes out of town - with nothing nearby). They did provide a shuttle but that hardly makes up for our being no where near Civitavechio where we had planned to visit and were not able to do so. I have no comment about the hotel itself.
