Idea Hotel Piacenza

One of The rooms had a lot of mold spots in the shower ceiling and some other in the room hallway. The other room was missing part of the ceiling. The room card worked only the first time entry, for the other time we entered the room, the front desk gentleman had to walk to the room and open it with a key because he tried two times to configure the card again and did not work. The location was convenient from the highway, the breakfast was good, the bed and pillows were good, but unfortunately the experience was terrible because the mold was a health concern and it was a big area, not some spots. Also if you are remodeling the hotel you should provide the guest a complete room and work on others, we should not stayed in a room without ceiling, without shower doors.

Staff was very friendly. Grocery store attached below which was nice.

Worst hotel ever! Look like a that was bombed in a war area

It took 3 tries to get a room! Despite being a non smoking hotel the great room was smoke filled, the second room, broken AC, the thrift, broken toilet with water running all night but the best of the 3! The hotel is currently under renovation and they should not be renting rooms until they are finished or they should tell people about their current state. The hotel definitely needs a facelift. The staff were friendly and tried their best, but the hotel itself let them down.

Good accommodation at a very good price. Would certainly use this hotel again, it just needs a little TLC

Very Noisy, Badly isolated windows

- Really old hotel with minimal maintenance. - breakfast was terrible, not worth it. For sure better options. +Air condition in the room was excellent. But again, just because of the low quality of the breakfast, i will never use this hotel again. Come on, you are in italy, this feels like a lack of interest from the hotel.

The property is in terrible condition i feel completely robbed the door worked after around 15 to 20 attempts the shower was full of mold and the light and ventilation did not work the room had only 1 working plug socket the phone system for the hotel didn't work. A massive pot hole outside i twisted my knee now have to wear a brace discusted by the whole package

Italian staff always helpful & obliging. But the property surrounds in need of a major clean up. Tatty is probably a fair assessment. Underground security car park good to have.

On arrival, the hotel looked quite smart and we were allocated a double room on the 4th floor. The lift creaked an groaned and was very slow. Our room was OK if a bit “tired-looking”, however, when we tried to flush the toilet it didn’t work. The front desk staff were very helpful and quickly moved us to another room, this time a triple-bed room, also on the 4th floor. We stayed here overnight but the sink didn’t empty properly, the toilet seat wasn’t properly fastened and some of the room lights failed to operate. We did advise the staff of these issues on checking out. Breakfast was good, fresh and tasty although the coffee machine had seen better days. Our feelings were, that this had once been a well appointed hotel but was now in decline. Poor maintenance was in evidence everywhere, the walls painted in a slapdash manner, wall repairs not plastered over and the electric heater in elevator lobby on the 4th floor was missing it protective grill thus leaving the electrics in a dangerously exposed condition. On the plus side, it is very convenient as it is just off the autostrada and has a delightful restaurant just across the road (Amore Versace).

Didn't get off to a good start; arrived at the reception desk and said Hello but the two receptionists were glued to their computer screens and ignored me (or didn't say, "we will be with you in a moment"). The room was clean but faded and dated, the toilet seat was broken, towels frayed, carpet looked worn and not clean. Breakfast was poor - there were a lot of people there and they ran out of scrambled eggs, bread, and other commodities and didn't seem that interested in restocking. We won't be returning, I'm sorry to say. We stayed in this hotel some years ago when it was excellent in every respect, but now is poor value and we won't be returning.

Was good hotel if you're on a road trip between city.

Stopped here on a road trip further south. Good clean room with kitchen facilities. A little tight in twin mode. Fridge was great to cool down our picnic items. Cheap fuel stop at a local supermarket was a bonus

Absolutely fine, clean and comfortable room, excellent breakfast, parking directly outside the hotel and plenty of eating places and a supermarket nearby.Probably a bit too far to walk into the centre but there is public transport nearby. Staff very helpful so get information from the front desk.

Functional hotel. Would however need renovation.

The hotel was a halfway point between MXP and previous hotel. Very convenient and great price. Room decor needs updating, particularly the carpet. Breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. would definitely recommend.
