Breakfast was surprisingly a feast for someone like me who eats sparingly in the morning. The staff are very helpful and friendly. It is literally runs true with the saying "Do not judge the book by its cover".

We were at first surprised the hotel was a floor of the hostel but quickly loves the whole package. Breakfast was great and the lounge and outdoor bar were lively and fun. Walk to the Spanish quarter and down to the port for ferries. Our room was great, very large and clean and the bathroom modern with great water pressure.

We spent 31/2 wks in Italy celebrating our 50th anniversary. Before I retired, we always vacationed in 5 star hotels, “paid” for with “points” from business travel. However, a car trip thru Europe, over 50 years ago, in which we stayed in 3 star hotels and hostels was our most memorable vacation. Although we had become accustomed to 5 star hotels, a week at a 5 star hotel cost more than spending 25 days driving thru Italy, staying at 10 different 3 star hotels, We chose the latter. It was a great decision. All ten hotels were more than satisfactory; and NeapolitanTrips is our favourite. Ironically, we had almost cancelled our reservation, after reading some of the reviews, which I suspect were all written by the same person(s); and were thoroughly disingenuous. Facts: The front desk is on fire 3rd floor, where check-in for both the hotel and a hostel is located. All of the hotel rooms are on the 5th floor and all of the hostel’s rooms are on the 1st and/or 2nd floor. There are 2 working elevators; hotel rooms are virtually soundproof; and everything is exactly as advertised. Bar and dining are on the 3rd floor and; guests of the hostel, who were young, very friendly and polite, made up the majority of the bar’s customers. We enjoyed watching young people having fun; but anyone who wants to avoid them can do so by staying out of the bar. NeopolitanTrip’s staff; and especially the folks at the front desk were extraordinarily helpful, knowledgeable and congenial.

Good: 5th floor room was very nice; staff was very friendly and incredibly helpful; felt very safe and comfortable in the room; police station is across the street; no noise issues from the hostel. Bad: outside of building looks pretty bad. The entrance to the hotel is locked and has a sign telling you to go next door (to the hostel) to check in. Marketing of this property is a little questionable - they should be up front that it is a hotel connected to a hostel. We had no issues with the hostel, but had no idea about it until we checked in. You actually check in at the hostel reception desk. They check you in and send you to the 5th floor where the private rooms are located (much nicer up on 5th floor). It’s good to be close to the police station, but that also means you hear sirens at all hours.

If I wanted to stay at a youth party hostel, then I would have booked one. In reality, we paid for what was advertised as a “3-star family-friendly hotel” called Neapolitan Trips Hotel. What we got was an old, run down building where the original hotel entrance has been boarded up and closed, so I have to assume that the hostel called Ostello Bello have taken the rooms over. What would have once been a nice hotel with a rooftop bar and restaurant now looks like an empty shell of what it was, likely closing during COVID. The rooftop terrace is empty and closes by 8pm, so the partying occurs directly above the hotel windows. No, there was no “pillow menu” or “restaurant” “rooftop bar” or “room service” on site as advertised. The mattress is hard. The pillows are lumpy and uncomfortable. You book a hotel to sleep and relax after a day seeing the sights of a city. This was not what we got. What we got, after a full day of travelling by train, where we were looking forward to enjoying our quiet hotel room after a long day, was blaring music from the 3rd floor until late into the night for 2 nights in a row. What’s disgusting is that this “hotel” still calls itself one and misrepresents itself on Expedia and I’m sure on other booking sites, too lazy to update their own listings to reflect what it really is. The hostel needs to update its listing to accurately reflect what they are providing. We were not the only travellers unhappy with what we ended up with.

This property listing is incorrect. The rooms are on the 5th floor above the hostel at Via Dei Fiorrentini 10. The reception is that of the hostel. The lobby is dirty. Breakfast was not out on time. Very disorganized. The 5th floor is beautiful and clean but downstairs and reception leave a bad feeling. The air conditioning in the room never cooled, only blew the fan. I would not stay here again.

I always had a good experience with Hotels.com, that’s why I come regularly. However, this trip to NeapolitansTrips in Naples (Italy) has been a disaster in all aspects. First of all, this is not a hotel, and much less a 4 stars hotel. It is a floor with some rooms in a building that is shared with a lodging house kind of YMCA hostel. They shared “reception” (if you can call that to that room). The building itself is in a shape (and location) that you are afraid of your safety. No reception, no bar, no restaurant, no amenities at all; nothing. Additionally, the hostel, had party every night until the wee hours of the morning. Impossible to sleep. It was one of my worst experiences in a “hotel” and definitively the worst in relationship price/quality. This “hotel” is a scam but Hotels.com should have a quality department to avoid scams from malicious people and, on that respect, Hotels.com failed. I make you co-responsible for that terrible experience, hoping that you will know how to repair it and compensate a loyal customer.

So.. most importantly this hotel should not be advertised as having free parking nearby... that is only true if you are lucky enough to find one in the maze of one way streets in Naples City Centre. If you dont then you have two options really.. park in an underground car park opposite which quoted us 30 euros for the night and dropped to 25 when I haggled (i still couldn't bring myself to pay that amount) or park much further afield and then use the metro. We found an underground car park for 16 euros fifty minutes, yes 50!!!, walk away and used the metro. Secondly the hotel is on the 5th floor of a very unassuming looking building and easy to miss or confuse with the hostel of the same name a few doors away..... the lift is very slow but much better than using the stairs. The rooms are clean and comfortable enough but we were in a room right next to reception so heard everyone coming and going and every conversation in the hall. You need to panic slightly when a hotel issues ear plugs on arrival and the street noise at night explains why. Found a star rating poster inside the cupboard from 2018 that rated the hotel as 3 star, and a seperate one for 2019 that now says 4 star. Only difference I can tell is that the hotel now offers a continental breakfast but I would not say the general facilities warrant a 4 star rating. Staff are friendly enough. Final point would be watch out for scooters in Naples... they are everywhere and dont seem to follow road rules.

Situated central in the city. From outside, the building does not look very inviting but when you step out of the lift on the fifth floor the hotel is modern and clean. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Facilities for tea or coffee making was in the room but no milk was available. The bar/breakfast room on 6th floor had views across the city but unfortunately was not open on a Sunday night which is not stated in the description. Staff recommended some restaurants which we walked to - unfortunately these were closed. Overall a comfortable stay and reasonably priced

Mixed hotel with something for all. We had Queen size room on fifth floor. Superb. 24hr bar, tea and coffee. You can use board games. Great also for backpackers. Very very clean and extremely friendly. Would stay again

Interior of the rooms were nicely done except the main entrance needs improvements like - hand rail and exterior sign of hotel name. Elevator capacity is too small only maximum of 4 people so when we checking in we had to take several trips to the 5th floor main lobvy. Rooms were well kept and cleaning staffs did very nice job

So.. most importantly this hotel should not be advertised as having free parking nearby... that is only true if you are lucky enough to find one in the maze of one way streets in Naples City Centre.
