This is a lovely, professionally-run hotel. We paid extra for a balcony with a sea view and didn't regret it. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Driving and parking in Taormina is expensive and challenging. We paid 50 euros to park at Porta Pasquale for 3 nights. It's about a 5-10 minute walk downhill from the hotel. People had a really hard time figuring out how to use the parking machine, but eventually everyone did. They need better instructions.

We absolutely loved our stay at Splendid and were sad to leave our beautiful room and the amazingly kind and helpful staff. Ivana was especially helpful, but we enjoyed everyone. When my fiancé required medical attention, they called a doctor for him. The room was small but lovely, especially the balcony with the gorgeous view! The location was great. We can’t wait to return.

In our room, the bathroom door was a strange,sliding glass door with a large hole where the handle should have been. Shower head would not stay fixed. The room only had paper cups and staff said that they were not allowed to provide real glasses. Breakfast was fine but not great. Staff was very helpful and pleasant.

Disappointing. The pool was barely in sun. The room was small, the breakfast uninspiring. Its main redeeming feature was its close proximity to the town and Italianopera nearby which we recommend.

The view from the room was great. However, the room is small, moldy and not very clean. We found hair on the towels. The keys must be left with at the reception everytime you leave but it was ok. The aircon could not be turned high and so it was quite cold in the room. Me and my partner fell sick due to the mold with fever, dizziness and stuffy nose which impacted our holiday in other cities. The staff were good and the location is convenient but I would not recommend due to the mold and cleanliness. There is no free parking. There is a valet parking which can be expensive if you have a car and are staying for many days.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever visited. Front desk was exceptional! Ivana made everything easy and provided detailed information about what to see and do. This is a beautiful property, and we had a beautiful room!! However, the staff is the best part about this property. They are kind and helpful. All the staff is great. The breakfast was very good. We enjoyed it very much. Hope to return.

This is a great, easily accessible hotel just off the main strip. You're back in a gated part of the city, so can be a little tricky to find, but the room was clean and accessible, the location is ideally situated (super close to shops and restaurants, but quiet at night) and the staff could not have been nicer. Really nice stay.

Enjoyed our 4 night stay at the splendid. Found all staff that we came into contact with to be friendly and professional. Our room was clean and comfortable and the view was beautiful. I throughly enjoyed breakfast and loved the scrambled egg. We did use the rooftop bar on a couple of occasions after an evening out and enjoyed the drinks and the service.

The hotel is very nice and has amazing views, do yourself a favor a book a room with a view it's so worth it. They provide complementary items, like shampoo, lotion, shaving kit & cream, body wash, waters and drinks. It's 4 min walking distance to the center of town close to shops and restaurants while still being a quite area and they have amazing service. A thousand percent recommended.

Fab location near Porta Messina with a shop just down the road. Easy walk to the main street, restaurants and to the cable car to the beach. Friendly and helpful staff at reception and at breakfast.
