We had a room on the lower level and heard a horrible noise the first night. The Staff changed our room to an upper level and for the next two nights we had no noise. The staff was extremely accommodating to our needs. The hotel breakfast was immense. Many choices to choose from including fruits, cheese, meats, eggs, Capuchino, Teas, and much more. Quite the spread!

Very convenient location especially if using the train system in and out of Rome. Also walking distance to many excellent restaurants and tour bus locations. Staff was multi language speaking and very polite and helpful. Room itself was totally adequate and clean but a bit outdated and a little rundown.

I saw a huge crockroach crawling on the bowls as I was getting breakfast and the staff just took it away and laughed about it like it's normal. It was so gross. Coffee maker was broken and stuff tried to fix but couldn't fix it. The toilet kept running and so it was hard to sleep. Took them 2 days before they had someone fix it. The staff are grumpy and not friendly except for a few people. The area near train station is very sketchy so would not recommend for kids. My kids were scared walking around. We witness a huge fist fight in front of the hotel. Omg.

The hotel itself was clean and overall acceptable. However, stay away from the Gatsby Restaurant. The food quality was extremely poor and concerning. The soup and chicken both tasted old and acidic, as if they had been prepared days in advance and improperly stored. The mashed potatoes were clearly sour, which should never happen with fresh food. When we raised this with the server (blonde waitress), her response was rude and dismissive. Instead of addressing the issue, she became defensive and told us we “don’t know what we are talking about.” For context, we own multiple restaurants in New York and are very familiar with proper food standards. Sour potatoes and acidic soup are clear signs of improper storage or spoilage. The chicken leg had an unpleasant smell and dark discoloration, which was also concerning. Each issue we pointed out was dismissed with explanations like “this is how food is in Italy,” which is simply not true. To make matters worse, the restaurant was completely empty, yet we were still asked if we had a reservation. We ended up paying cash and leaving without finishing our meal. Also, despite Expedia Platinum benefits, no discount was applied. Overall: the hotel is fine, but the restaurant experience was unacceptable and should be avoided.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel - it felt like a little haven of luxury in the busy Roman streets. If we needed anything in the room, room service were quick to arrive with the items. We also had a free late check out. Breakfast was very good each morning. Personally we didn’t enjoy the evening meal at the Gatsby restaurant - it was too over the top when all we wanted was pasta and pizza. At 90 euros for 2 drinks and 2 main courses we avoided it for the remainder of our trip. The hotel however is surrounded by amazing restaurants only a few minutes walk. Would stay again.
