宿泊日数が多いということで、シングルのお部屋がアップグレードされて、ミニキッチンや洗濯機のついたお部屋に泊まれました。
前回、宿泊した時にもアップグレードしてもらいました。
お部屋の掃除がきれいにされていて、ホコリや汚れが残っているところは全くなし。
快適に宿泊できました。

建物自体は、くたびれた感が否めませんが、お部屋はリノベがされ清潔感がありました。
また、この部屋に泊まるために、函館に来たいと思います。

We booked the wrong date & they helped us to amend it, we appreciate their help. The hotel location is about 500m away from Hakodate JR station, but there is a tram station within 2 mins walk (Matsukazecho station). There is a few convenient stores within 300m and a MaxValu supermarket (Cheap foods, snack & almost everything) in 5 mins walk.
A McDonald restaurant is just across the road (the hotel provided us two JPY200 vouchers).
At the lobby, the hotel provided Free Tea/ Coffee/ Sakae (Japanese beer), Snack & Instant Noodle (self service). The staff can speak English & the service is good.

Cheap and cheerful hotel/hostel. One of the staff was very helpful in providing us information about a good onsen in Yunokawa. Easily accessible from the train station. Room was a good size, only problem was that it stank of cigarettes, despite being a non-smoking room.

The size of the room we were given was decent but the bathroom was slightly too small with the toilet almost in front of the door. The staff was ok but we didn't enjoy breakfast. Overall it's ok for the price we paid but don't expect too much.

The staff members we saw were all very nice, so this review is not a reflection of them or people who clean the room daily. The hotel was good enough just for staying overnight. It worked out ok for us, but there were some safety concerns. There were not enough electrical outlets; too much use of extension cords made us a little nervous. The room appeared clean on the surface but there was a little too much dust was accumulated where we can't see right away (which we had to discover when we were looking for more outlets). I suppose there are and will be many foreign guests at this hotel; I think certain safety-related information should be translated into English. (For example, that certain windows must not be opened.) I really like Hakodate and wanted to like this hotel, so I hope this is helpful.
