Centurion Hotel Classic Nara

Super clean room and spacious with a sizable bathroom. Well equipped with good quality shampoo and conditioner; my hair was literally smoother, lol. Rate was really economical. Highly recommended! Lots of restaurants and they are like 5-7 minutes walking from the hotel. Staff was friendly and after I checked out in the morning they let me stored my luggage in the lobby area until evening. The Nara station is super close and they even have a tourist information center over there. I will come and stay here again!

The laundry room is conveniently on the 4th floor where we stayed. Since it is public, the risk is someone removing your items before you go claim it so I lost some socks due to another guest not removing everything fully from the machine I was using. The dryer definitely needs multiple runs so I wouldn’t suggest heavy fabrics going in. The hotel has a board of cards for items you need (stool, ironing, hair straight, dvd player w/ anime collection nearby). They offer a number of amenities at the front if you forget your razor or toothbrush and other things. There’s a great dry footbath at the entrance to refresh tired feet. The front desk helped us book luggage forwarding to our next hotel for us. It’s very affordable and convenient.

Great hotel. Very close to the Nara Station and can walk down the street for dining and things to do. Room itself was fairly large compared some of our other accommodations. Room was clean and reasonably priced for 2 day stay.

A young family who were placed in a smoking room. The smell was unbearable, I made a request to urgently change and they granted our request for the next night. The second non-smoking room was clean and did not smell. The room is tiny for a family of four. We skipped the breakfast buffet. This hotel is walking distance to most attractions.

We had a nice stay at this location. It is conveniently located, walking distance from Nara park, a shopping district, and both the Kintetsu and JR stations. However, the amenities were a bit disappointing. They ran out of instant coffee halfway through our stay and did not refill it. The coffee in the lobby required a breakfast ticket, so we ended up walking to a nearby konbini for coffee in the mornings. Furthermore, the laundry service was abysmal. The washers were fine, but the dryers were an absolute joke. We had two small laundry loads that we tried to dry in two separate dryers. 3 hours and 1200 yen later, our clothes were still damp. We had to hang dry them in our room overnight. I recommend taking laundry to the nearby laundromat to save time and money.
