Comfort Hotel Hakodate

Staff was super helpful receiving our luggage we had shipped to the hotel and then helping us carry them to the taxi that they called for us.

Stayed for one night as a stopover between Hokkaido and Tokyo. I had a corner twin room on the top floor, which was very spacious and quiet. The location is excellent—easy access to everything. I didn’t need to take any transportation during my stay and was able to walk everywhere, even as far as Motomachi. You can even see the JR station from the top floor hallway window. Perfect for a short, convenient stay in Hakodate.

The hotel was conveniently situated across the Hakodate JR station. The hotel is also adjacent to the tram station at the Hakodate JR station, so that made it easy to get around the city. It was also possible to walk to the morning market and several nearby ramen and izakaya joints, making the hotel very central. The hotel also provided complimentary breakfast, which was appreciated. There was a wide variety of dishes available, including both Japanese and western. It could get busy during peak times. The free beverage station for coffee and hot water and cold water from 1400 to 2400 was also a great plus. The room itself was standard in terms of size for Japan. It was comfortable but I did not enjoy the bed. The bed seemed to not give me enough support for my back and the pillow didn't give me enough support for my neck. I usually don't write about the bed but I found it hard to sleep. Otherwise, the staff were friendly and helpful The location of the hotel is super convenient and would recommend to people who are not as picky as me about beds.
