The hotel is very close to the station. The room was comfortable and good value. Free drinks are available downstairs, but only coffee or hot water. When I asked about tea, the receptionist reacted as if I was making an unreasonable request, which I found very strange.

No air conditioning in summer time, I stayed in the end of May, only heating available which is central controlled by hotel. We couldn’t sleep all night because it was too hot (showing 27C) and no fresh air. Bathtub is too high which I almost fall down when getting in and out.

Stayed here one night whilst going to view the red crowned cranes. This is a great location, very close to the train station. Comfortable hotel, nice room, staff were great. Everything you can hope for for a one night stay!

Comfort Hotel Kushiro is a pretty new hotel close to Kushiro Train Station. It is in a quiet area but within walking distance to eateries (we went for dinner so not sure if eateries are open for lunch). Kushiro Fisherman’s Wharf at Moo Mall is about 7 minutes drive away. The rooms are of reasonable size and value for money for the rates we paid. They are clean and bright. Breakfast is simple but then again, it is complimentary. Coffee and lemon infused ice water is available foc after breakfast hours. Hotel staff is helpful. For those driving, the open car park is next to the hotel and costs 700 per day.

We called two days before we check in to add one more day stay and the hotel staff is really helpful. The complimentary breakfast is simple but delicious and have good combinations. We ate our breakfast there during our two days stay.

Our room's temperature was so warm that we had to pop open the window despite the 20 degree temperatures outside. Luckily the heavy curtain served as a barrier and just enough cold air got in. Otherwise it would have been too hot to sleep. If not for that problem we were satisfied with this hotel. Yes the room was Japan size (tiny) but the staff was friendly, the breakfast was adequate and the location was within a block from the JR train. Our thanks to the morning clerks who allowed us to take out some onigiri rice balls from the breakfast buffett. We had a very early train and had no time to sit and eat.
