We really enjoyed the hotel. Breakfast in both the regular buffet and Japanese meal were awesome, but the wait for the buffet was long. The hotel was in a great location for all sightseeing in the area. It would be nice to have recycling boxes in the rooms to collect paper and bottles.

True four star hotel experience in laid back fishing village Hakodate! Grand lobby, cafe with exclusive tea offerings, several world class restaurants on-site with renowed chefs (that locals would come for special occasions). Osen is on penthouse of the tallest building and offers free hokkaido fruit and milk popsicles to cool off in the after bath lounge area. But condition of osen is extremely dated. Sad that it doesn't really highlight the great view that the outdoor bath would have (in fact it is wasted). I think renovation for this old building might be prohibitvely expensive. Rooms can be large and nicely refurbished in very classy style. West wing has some 500 sq ft plus room that features a huge circular window giving panoramic view of mont hakodate, red brick warehouses, and the bay/harbour. Buffet breakfast is grand, has great food selection, but management appears to be too old school. They just don't seem to "get" modern buffet management. Should take some note from Premier Cabin or JR Inn. Overall just thankful for sustaining an affordable 4 star experience in the Heart of Hakodate.

スタッフは挨拶も対応も丁寧で親切でとても良かったです。三泊しましたが、朝食は和洋中バイキングの他、和食店も選べて美味しく、両方利用させていただきました。大満足です。お部屋も広くてトリプルベッドでよく眠れました。ただ、お部屋の暖房排気口の周りや柱の上部の角に埃がついていたのが気になりました。

We had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the hotel buffet breakfast (great if you want to build your own seafood rice bowl) and the Japanese style breakfast that was offered. The room’s AC was cold and we also tried out the public onsen. After the onsen, you can enjoy a free popsicle, which was a nice touch. The hotel is ~10 minute walk to the JR station. The only downside we noticed is the bathroom in the hotel room kept smelling like sewage and was not very pleasant.

This hotel is large and has everything you need in a great location. However, the only downside was that the body wash in the room became watery for some reason on the second day. Although I replaced it with a new one after talking to the front desk, it was still disappointing. Other than that, the hotel's breakfast and hot spring facilities were excellent.

We were stranded in Shin Hakodate Hokuto when our train to Sapporo was cancelled due to heavy rain. The only train ticket to Sapporo we could get was the next morning. No hotel rooms in Hokuto and very few in Hakodate. We booked this hotel as it was one of the few with rooms still available. We were able to get to Hakodate on a local train and the hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the station. When we got there the front desk clerk told us our room reservation came with breakfast for 20.00 a person but the breakfast only started a few minutes before we would have to leave the hotel to catch our new train at 6 am. We asked for a refund for breakfast but he refused. He then told us we could use the breakfast vouchers for 2500 yen off items in the hotel gift shop but the gift shop did not open until 7 am. We left early and breakfastless but did catch our new train to Sapporo. The room was ok but the toilet would not flush. The handle was broken. At this point we were so exhausted and we literally had booked the last room available, so we channeled our home plumbing experience and did the best we could. But clearly the hotel was not in good repair and they were out to wring every penny they could from the guests, so I cannot recommend it. Maybe they can use my 40.00 from the breakfast we could not eat to buy a new handle for the toilet.

Hello. I stayed at your hotel from July 9th to 13th. Overall, I was very satisfied with the service and the food — everything was excellent. However, I did experience some discomfort due to a persistent unpleasant smell in the room, which resembled a sewer or bathroom odor. Additionally, the hallway and walking space in the room, where three people stayed, felt rather narrow. The area around the table and separate chairs also felt quite cramped. I’m not sure if improvements are possible, but I believe the overall guest experience would be even better if the in-room environment could be enhanced a bit. Thank you very much.
