Great place to stay quite central although in the snow took nearer 20 mins to walk but still good. Non smoking Japanese style room with free tooth brushes razors etc but other rooms on same floor smoking so sleeping at night was hard because smoke smell very strong coming under door. Same with dining room which was a shame. Otherwise good and friendly place to stay.

Nice little hotel located in the middle of big hotels. The hotel is not too far from JR station and it is easily to walk from and to the JR station and morning market. Highly recommended!

Place is satisfactory. There are certainly more attractive places to stay but the place is certainly fine if you need a place to crash for the night. If I was staying two or more nights, I would look elsewhere.

No-fuss, basic hotel which met all our needs. Could be too small though if you have more than 2 standard luggage. As with most Japanese hotels, the room is clean and the staff were very friendly! They even gave us a free packet of bath salt which we really appreciated!

If you're not necessarily looking for "luxury", you can't go wrong with this little hotel. We stayed in a western style room on the first night and in a Japanese style room for a second. The rooms were clean and the bed sheets, too. Japanese style rooms have a characteristic odor that takes a few minutes to get used to (most likely due to the tatami) but they're MUCH more spacious than western style rooms and very comfortable and certainly a unique experience that I recommend, especially if you've never stayed at a "minshuku". Last but certainly not least, the staff is utterly polite, helpful and kind. We were out of words to thank them enough with.

Overall pleasant, though I wish there could be breakfast provided. But considering it is a budget choice I won't complain. The hotel is clean and located in a quiet neighbourhood just around 5 minutes walk from the Hakodate JR station. Very convenient.
