Excellent location. We booked and stay for 5 nights. Enjoyed the kitchenette, we ask and got 2 pots and plates and bowls. We had problems with the LAN connection on our laptop computer. So internet connection was not available all the time. Other than that all is good.

7-minutes walk to Kyoto Station. From the station, you can go anywhere. Despite the old feel of the room (also with a questionably clean rollout mattress), I really thought the room was enjoyable. There was even a little kitchen with stove! For 2-3 nights, I would recommend. In fact, this hotel was better than the more expensive ones I stayed at in Tokyo and Yokohama...much better.

So we moved 3 times due to the cleanliness., its was so dusty and smelled like old wood in the 1st room. The balcony didn't have a screen but I needed to vent the room so kept open and got bit up by mosquitos.. 2nd room we moved same day we checked in I tried to clean myself as I needed to sleep balcony-same no screen and was broke on the balcony floor, so didnt want to get bit up again, left it closed so my sinuses kept me up,. We are there only 2 nights mind you.. So I told the front desk the next day and she gave us the option to move again. I was like ok let me try but this wild I told her.. 3rd room same better smell but still dusty as heck and the bathroom behind the toilet dont get me started.. whoever manages this location does not check on the work done at all.. hallways floor dusty also you can see it on the lamps they have in the hallways.. In the 23 years I've travel to japan this was the worst hotel I've stayed in.. do yourself a favor and book somewhere else...

Good location, and despite its faults, the rates were fair for what you got and the conveniences nearby. I got a smoking room, but it wasn't a surprise from the listing, just be prepared for it. here is an in room laundry, which was nice, but be prepared to research how to use a Japanese Laundry as the instructions provided are poorly translated. The bathroom was easily the worst part. It is desperately in need of renovation. The bidet/washlet attachment to the toilet seat didn't even fit, and the drainage for the tub was exposed and really gross looking underneath

The hotel is in a convenint location and the staff members are friendly and can speak English. The facilities in the room exceeds my expectation, including kettle washer, microwave, and a bathroom which can be used as a dryer. It is a good hotel if you want to stay a little longer. The only downside is there is no WIFI connection in the hotel, not even in the public lounge. Although there are LAN cable connections in the room, it would be nice to have WIF due to the extensive use of tablets and smart phones.

The location is great, just a few mins to the Kyoto station and the front staff, hotel staff are helpful and pleasant. It's really a shame to give them a rate of 3, however there is a reason for. I think the hotel is purposely built or comparted for small apartments, so you can expect a good sized bed room with a small bath, a mini kitchen (including a kettle, a microwave, a mini fridge), also a washing machine which is handy for a long stay, but there are no kitchen utensils to really use of that kitchen! No dishes, no cups, no nothing! not a pan or even a magcup for your morning coffee which you especially need to ask for at the front desk. If there is no kitchen there, I might rate them by 4 only with a microwave.....lol....but there is a kitchen for use and I expected to use during my long stay to feel more at home. Does hotel knows that without kitchen utensils, a kitchen itself becomes useless possession in the room? Anyway, a room is tidy and well maintained (my room was somehow smoking room, so it stinked and needed a room freshner, it might be able to change it during but I chose to stay in the same room-I am non smoker) if you don't need to use a kitchen, it will be a satisfactory stay and well worth for the money.
