M's Plus Shijo-Omiya Hotel is a very strategic hotel, located next to the highway, and very close to the station in front of the hotel there are 2 stations, namely: (1) Omiya Station which is the Hankyu Kyoto line. With this line you can go to Kyoto station, Kawaramachi, and even Osaka / Umeda stations very easily. And (2) Shijo-Omiya station which is the Randen / Keifuku line which will connect the hotel with Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. 200 yen is enough to reach Arashiyama without the need to change the train. For the location of this hotel because I strategically give a value of 10 out of 10. Around the hotel there are also many minimarkets such as 7-11, familymart, lawson, and many restaurants like Coco Curry house which are very tasty. But you have to know, that in Kyoto since 2018 a hotel tax has been applied for guests of 200 yen per person per night. And you have to pay when you get there. This hotel provides breakfast for all guests. Breakfast only in the form of bread, milk, coffee, tea and water. Breakfast at this hotel all you can eat. The hotel also provides sleeping clothes for its guests. If you want to travel to many places with strategic hotels, this is the hotel you are looking for.

The rooms were small but clean and the large TV was nice. I liked that both the bathroom sink and shower had separate faucets.
I appreciated the large downstairs dining lounge area with free drinking water.

Where the hotel located, it was very convenient and easy accessible to public transports. There were lot of convenient stores nearby ,so no worries if you needed something to drink or eat in the middle of the night. The downside for me was that, there were no breakfast provided.

The hotel is perfectly situated in Kyoto. There are a lot of restaurants and stores within walking distance of the property. I love the communal dining space. A huge thank you to Fazira and Masayo in reception. They provided helpful information that made my stay a fantastic experience. Arigato gozaimasu!

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended! Room is a bit small but it’s not a deal breaker. It’s located at a very convenient location where you can access to different public transportation at ease. Convenient stores, supermarket, different kind of restaurants are nearby. Stayed here for 4 nights to visit the Kyoto sights. It was easily accessible by public transportation and close to many stores and restaurants. The property was very clean and the staff were so helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again and I’d recommend it highly to anyone in the area.

I would recommend this hotel if you like a quiet area away from the busy part of Kyoto. The staff is very friendly, speak English, and offer luggage services. The Twin-bed room is very spacious and clean. They provide a TV and mini fridge etc. It's walking distance from Nijo Castle and driving distance to nearby temples "Kiyomizu dera" and "Golden Pavillion"
