M's Plus Shijo-Omiya Hotel is a very strategic hotel, located next to the highway, and very close to the station in front of the hotel there are 2 stations, namely: (1) Omiya Station which is the Hankyu Kyoto line. With this line you can go to Kyoto station, Kawaramachi, and even Osaka / Umeda stations very easily. And (2) Shijo-Omiya station which is the Randen / Keifuku line which will connect the hotel with Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. 200 yen is enough to reach Arashiyama without the need to change the train. For the location of this hotel because I strategically give a value of 10 out of 10. Around the hotel there are also many minimarkets such as 7-11, familymart, lawson, and many restaurants like Coco Curry house which are very tasty. But you have to know, that in Kyoto since 2018 a hotel tax has been applied for guests of 200 yen per person per night. And you have to pay when you get there. This hotel provides breakfast for all guests. Breakfast only in the form of bread, milk, coffee, tea and water. Breakfast at this hotel all you can eat. The hotel also provides sleeping clothes for its guests. If you want to travel to many places with strategic hotels, this is the hotel you are looking for.

There was a smell from the bathroom, maybe from the pipes or water, that was a bit distracting. Otherwise enjoyed our stay in a spacious room. Great location by the main train station.

Great location. Staff were nice and hotel was clean. The only thing I would mention is the laundry facility. Needs more washing machines and dryers, 3 each just not enough to cater for the entire hotel. I spent at least 3-4 hours doing laundry one night

Very nice and helpful staff. Great common room on the first floor with seating and microwave. The room was comfy. The bathroom had a vent but no fan so there was black mold on the ceiling, walls, and bathroom door. We were able to easily clean off the door with one of our towels. Otherwise it was a nice stay at a convenient location.
