Great hotel! It definitely is not in the heart of Tokyo with the main train station, but this hotel was a quick 5 minute walk to the train station, and we would just transfer to the main ones. I loved that it was tucked away and not super busy in our area. Mcdonalds was right by the station which helped for breakfast, as most breakfast or food didn't open until 11. The hotel was great to come back to mid day and at night. They restocked the fridge with 2 cold water bottles each day, and if you needed more, the front desk was so nice to offer more. Room service was done daily, and they provided large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, razors, hair brush, hair ties, etc. Definitely a perfect place to stay if you do not want to be right in the hustle and bustle. The rooms were also the perfect size for us! They had a closet we kept our suitcases in, while we still had space on both sides of our bed and a desk to sit at. The massage chairs were also nice to use at the end of a long day. We had no issues getting a chair when we wanted to go. I seriously loved this place!

The hotel staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms v clean and comfortable and The massage chairs a god send when you’re walking 6 miles a day around Tokyo . The area is also nice and quiet and it was v easy to get round the city from Suidobashi station which was a 3min walk away . We will definitely come back to this lovely hotel on our next trip.. Gym definitely needs more equipment, there aren't any weights. Washing and drying machines need some repairs. However the room is excellent though would need more comfy pillows. Super clean, very convenient location, bathroom is amazing, beautiful hotel, the lounge area is cool (go for the coffee in the afternoon, quite cool experience).

Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. All amenities. We stayed in largish twin rooms next to each other. Only minor point is there was no connecting door. Also our room didn’t have a great view. Hotel beds are comfortable. Water is complementary and have coffee maker. All in all a good stay and great value too.

I loved staying at this hotel and appreciated it even more after moving to the Marriott, which seemed very cold and sterile compared to the Niwa. From the super polite front desk people (we received a very deep bow from one when boarding the elevator to our room the first time) to the little touches such as an air cleaner/humidifier, tea service tray and bluetooth speaker in the room, the Hotel Niwa is a very nice place to stay. You feel like you are experiencing the real Japan here.

This was the best stay in a hotel in Japan. Everything in Japan is great but this was at the top. The staff is friendly and helpful, the amenities are outstanding (relaxation room, chair massage room, laundry, vending machines, free coffee (very delicious in relaxation room). And on top of it, breakfast is outstanding with both western and Japanese alternatives. I tried them both, and both are great.

The Niwa Hotel is almost like an urban resort, tucked away on a quiet street about 7 minutes walk from the Suidobashi station. The hotel features Japanese style gardens on the first, third, and top floors. It serves free tea and coffee in the afternoon, and offers three large massage chairs. All of these help the guests to chill during a hot summer day, and take escape from the bustling and sometimes overwhelming city. There are also some drawbacks: the breakfast, charged at 4000 yens per person, does not taste as nice as I hoped. The room design is a little bit quirky. When the bathroom door is fully opened, it forms a choke point to the room’s foyer. Although a few trains go through the Suidobashi or the nearby Jimbocho stations, living closer to a transportation hub such as Shinjuku or Tokyo station would have been a better choice for us.
