Just like my stay last year, Hotel Resol Ikebukuro went above and beyond to make my stay great! The location may be a bit away from the station, but that also meant the area is pretty quiet. The easy access to Sunshine City is also awesome! The rooms were clean, and the bed was very comfortable. If you’re a foreign traveler, definitely give this hotel a try!

Amazing reception staff! The rooms/washrooms can be cleaner upon checking in, but nothing to be upset about. A few loose hairs in the washroom during the visits (not my hair), but overall a very comfy stay.

This is my second time staying at this hotel. It's clear that the condition has deteriorated noticeably over the past two years. The mattress has a visible sag on the side facing the TV. Complimentary water is not provided daily. Additionally, the elevator used to require a room key card to access the floors, which offered a sense of privacy and security. Now, anyone can use the elevator without restriction (only a warning sign sticks on the buttons).
