It isa convenient location

Aside from the room being too small the stay was pleasant. Good location, close to the trains, good food & shops.

Good location near Ikebukuro Station. Property has eco-friendly intiative and rooms are cleaned every 3rd day. Towels changed daily via plstic bag delivered to door. Double twin room was more spacious than typical Tokyo hotels although we found the lighting to be too dim. Elevators were so dark you need your cell phone light to read the posters! Compact but pretty lobby has usual amenities like toothbrush, toothpaste, face oil, cream, lotion, swabs, bath salts, razor, cotton etc. Stay included buffet breakfast with limited but varied offering of scrambled eggs, sausage, fish, rice, miso soup, salads, cakes, oranges, coffee, tea and breakfast wine (!). Lawson & Family Mart just next door and Sunshine City across the street, Sunshine Street shops a few blocks away. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Recommend!

Clean room, great staff and good amenities. Didn’t have a washing machine but that wasn’t a huge issue as there are some laundromats nearby. I would definitely come back

Clean rooms, they had all kind of stuff at the lobby in case you needed, brush, toothbrush, bath salts, teas, etc. very good service and location.

Good location (1min walk to Higashi-Ikebukuro station & 7min walk to Ikebukuro station). 5mins to shops and restaurants (towards Ikebukuro station). We arrived via an airport limousine bus from HND airport and had to walk 10mins from Sunshine City Prince Hotel. The rooms are slightly larger than similarly priced hotels in Tokyo and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast was fine, although the menu did not change the 2 days we were there.

I have stayed at a Resol hotel in Kyoto previously and that was an excellent experience! So I came in expecting a clean room and comfortable bed. Unfortunately I was quite shocked by the overall condition of the room. Stains on the walls, bathroom smelt strongly of urine, tap not functioning properly and some of the amenities (USB charger) were broken. I informed the staff of these issues the next day and asked whether they could please send someone to thoroughly clean the bathroom (housekeeping offered every 4 days!). They were very apologetic and moved me to a different room which I'm incredibly thankful for. I decided to cut my stay here short. There's also no laundry room (the only hotel I've stayed in Japan to not offer this!). Overall my stay was ok... But I've stayed in much more cleaner/comfortable hotels at the same price point hence my dissapointment. I think the hotel is need of refurbishment.

Right by 2 convenience stores and Sunshine City. Lots of dining options around, about 10-15min walk from the station. Would stay again if I'm in Ikebukuro.

Room was clean and the staff were really friendly. Close to train station and shopping and restaurants. Very convenient

Great Hotel!

The food was fresh, varied and tasty.

Just like my stay last year, Hotel Resol Ikebukuro went above and beyond to make my stay great! The location may be a bit away from the station, but that also meant the area is pretty quiet. The easy access to Sunshine City is also awesome! The rooms were clean, and the bed was very comfortable. If you’re a foreign traveler, definitely give this hotel a try!

Clean hotel!! Loved walking around the area as there’s a lot of shopping opportunities. Hotel is friendly and helpful!

It's around the corner from a train station. As tradition, there is a convenient store 10 steps away from the building. It's also 5-10 minutes of walking away from downtown Ikebukuro.
