I chose this property mainly for its location, as it seemed close to 湯之坪 and the shopping area. The onsen hotel is a standalone Japanese‑style house, which made the stay feel more authentic. We slept on tatami, which was a unique experience for us. Getting up from the floor was a bit challenging for me, but the futon mattress—with its cooling topper—was incredibly comfortable. We also had our meals served in the room. Although each dish came in small portions, the full course was more than enough to fill me up. The dining table is low, as is typical in traditional Japanese rooms, so you’re essentially sitting or kneeling on the floor. After eating, getting up became even harder. Our room included a private hot spring, which was one of the main reasons I splurged on this stay. However, I could see someone else’s balcony from the bath area, so my husband had to hang a cloth to block the view. Aside from that, my only real complaint is that the staff seemed to rush us through the meal. I’m usually a fast eater, but when I choose in‑room dining, I want the freedom to take photos and enjoy the experience without feeling pressured. We didn’t use the dining hall, which is the alternative option and offers regular tables and chairs. Still, we wanted to try the full Japanese-style experience this time.

Excellent service. While the rooms we chose do not have shower facilities, there are 3 Onsen, one of which is just next to our room and open 24 hours. The property manager even left a note for us as we checked in after their office hour. Even brought us around to see the bigger rooms. Extremely good service. Highly recommended.

Staff are friendly as a whole. Our room is next to the a store / small room for keeping those towels and entires for hot spring. This is the place where there is engine or generator for generating the hot spring. Whole day noisy even at night. Unable to sleep well as the sound non stop even though comfortable tatami and spacious room. There was mosquitoes at the surrounding area.

I like this hotel, Overall is good. Just very difficult to find the place, was turned few rounds to look for the entrance even I have picture. Entrance is a super small road which you even don't recognise there are a road. 3 onsens are all family style, not Male & Female separate. I went to 2, both are good and nice. It's combined by few independent "house", onsen is independent small room out of the premise. It was raining, so I need to use umbrella to walk to my room after check in, open and close umbrella whenever go to onsen and return to room. But really traditional japanese style of ryokan. It will not be a problem if no raining.
